Don’t waste your money on others.
I had 4 different types of these compression garments. The ones from the hospital were basic - single piece of stretchy material wirh Velcro- hard to do up / change yourself without help. Also scratchy and uncomfortable.I bought two other styles from Amazon but they didn’t offer the support this product did - one of them rode up constantly and they both didn’t have the length on the additional side Velcro tabs to make a difference to holding in the tummy area. I think maybe they were for people who just want to cinch in their waist and don’t really want support across the stomach.I also like the hand “pocket” which makes it easier to put it on yourself. The side Velcro comes right across the tummy to provide extra support and you can let it out / loosen it during the day as needed (or at night). It sits comfortably - I only wish they also offered a size that wasn’t so wide - for those times I need to be seated for long periods. But it’s a minor point. I know this model is expensive but it’s worth it for something you have to wear almost 24/7 for 6 weeks or more. I hope this helps someone, as I found the choice of options a bit overwhelming.

Stomach trainer
It feels to me that it drains the muscles even after you take it off you still feel your muscles wanting to hold your stomach in more. I’m very satisfied with that.

Game Changer and best one on the market for the areas I needed support.
The hospital usually has the best quality belly band. I bought this in case I wear out the hospital one. Ive had 3 hernia repairs. 2 in the very low region and 1 near the button. This is high quality and I was able to adjust it how I need it to fit without assistance. The slot for the hand to help is a game changer. I can also adjust the waist gap to with the extra band . My waist is smaller than the hip area and most belly bands leaves a gap in the back. This one forms to your shape how you need it to fit. Good value as well.

Aids in postpartum recovery, especially after a C-section!
TLDR: Great waistband that provides all the support in the right places for your guts to get back into place after a c-section or after giving birth in general. At the same time, I was able to control the right amount of pressure where I needed it the most.At the hospital, you get these single-layered, not the greatest quality waistbands. They do the trick in the moment, but you'll start to notice that the waistband bunches up in certain areas or that the support is lacking in places where the waistband won't conform. This product is the next level, WAY above the general hospital's wristbands. Fabric is soft to the touch and not itchy at all against bare skin. If you don't want any imprints, however, I recommend a thin tank top or light t-shirt to go under it before you wrap yourself up. The compression given by the extra flaps on the side really sealed the deal for me. It tightens up any parts not being supported by the main band. Thanks for reading!

Without A Doubt Worth The Money
I did not want to purchase this particular girdle after my surgery because it was so expensive. I decided to go for it though because I had tried many others and didn’t like any of them. I am without a doubt the world’s pickiest person. It fits so nicely and is extremely comfortable. It is easy to put on and take off. I chose to wear it over my LuLu Lemons tank top and it feels perfect. The Velcro holds up nice and so does the rest of the garment. I highly recommend this product for any post surgery needs.

Bulky and uncomfortable
This is my third week wearing this post pardon and it is just as uncomfortable as it was on day one. I’m 5’4” and it hits above the waist and creates a fat roll right underneath my chest area. I keep pulling it down but it rides back up. It’s also really bulky and weird looking under clothing. It is also really hot trying to wear this in the summer. It does help support my core which is nice because I was having g muscle spams in my back after the c section. I just don’t think I’ll be wearing this for the recommended 6-8 weeks as it makes me look huge and is aggravating to wear.

Best band ever for c section recovery!
I’m one week into my c section recovery and this belly band has been the absolute best right out of the package. I was relying on the band I received from the hospital, as the one I wasted money on during my last pregnancy was horrible. The hospital one was good but not intended for long term use. This new band works exactly as described. I learned about it by reading a few reviews on The Bump and Babylist websites. It’s comfortable, not too thick, very breathable and still works well when sitting, standing and nursing. That was a big deal for me - didn’t want something that felt like armor around my midsection while trying to nurse my newborn. I also never worry about the stiffness poking me at the bottom near my incision. This is totally worth every penny. I especially appreciate it being only one piece and not multiple. Go for it, moms. You won’t be disappointed.

Great item I LOVE it. Best purchase!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this belly band. I bought it bc I had a hysterectomy, and I tried the one from the hospital, another one that I returned, and then this one. I still wear it when I’m feeling uncomfortable and I’m about 6 months in. You wouldn’t think the hand thing would matter but it def does!!! It helps you get it on by yourself. Looks good under clothes too. You can’t even see it. I LOVE this thing. Would buy it so many times over. It’s good for C section or any belly surgery.
