Fits the water port in a Roadtrek Zion
The water plug in the camper van was shot and I was looking at options to replace it. This plug works perfectly, is economical, and I appreciate having a few spares.

Good Quality Stoppers. So far so good.
This stopper works great with the air traps that I purchased to brew EM1 microbial inoculants in 1 Gallon Glass Jugs. The seem to be made of a durable and flexible rubber. They are a bit more on the firmer side so you may have to lubricate and or apply more pressure to insert your air lock pipe into it. But once in it you can trust that it will hold well. I haven't had any problems with them creeping out of the jug or loosing their structural properties after a couple of months of use. So far so good.

Good but wash them
Good. Make sure you clean them ASAP after making mead or wine. They do kinda hold smell.

... perfectly in a Carlo Rossi wine jug & worked great for making plum wine
These fit perfectly in a Carlo Rossi wine jug & worked great for making plum wine. These are easy to put in & take out if you don't push them in to far. The 3 piece airlocks fit easily into these stoppers as well. I did have an issue where I pushed the stopper down to far into the bottle* (see below on tip to remove) & this caused the airlock to not function properly (no air could get out) & had a very messy wine explosion in the kitchen. Thankfully the airlock shot out, along with A LOT of fermenting plum wine, & the glass bottle did not break.*If one of these suckers does happen to get stuck in your glass jug-o-wine because you don't know your own strength - simply use a wine opener to remove it. Not an automatic kind, if you were strong enough to get it stuck, you are strong enough to use the restaurant style opener. Do use little finesse to not break or chip the glass neck. Hopefully this will save another gallon or 2 of wine same as it saved mine, minus the wine explosion part!

🤦🏼♀️ doesn't fit a six gallon Carboy.
Oops. Didn't read thoroughly.Ordered the WRONG thing.Pleased with the product and such a reasonable price not worth it to hassle with a return. Too small for the opening diameter of the six gallon carboys we use.My bad. I saw the #6 in the description and I asssssssuuuumed.... 🤦🏼♀️Lesson learned...I will reorder (the correct size). It IS a quality product, definitely recommend it.

FITS 1 GALLON GLASS JUGS
I bought this 3-set for our 1-gallon "store" wine jugs we use to make "water kefir" (for our homemade ginger beer). These are drilled for liquid-filled "air locks," which you order separately 3 Piece Plastic Airlock (Sold in sets of 3). These #6 stoppers are just under an inch in diameter on the bottom or narrow end, and they fit nice and tight in the bottles. In the past, we've had a couple of contaminated brews due to bacteria or wild yeast taking over, and that's too much work, plus a waste of ingredients. These firm rubber stoppers put an end to that -- we get air-tight seals. Between brews, we wash the plugs and airlocks in soapy water, rinse well, and let them air dry. Just before use, we wipe the stoppers with alcohol before they're inserted in the bottles.Recommended.

Perfect fit when dry
I use one gallon glass jugs for brewing and accidentally picked up #6.5 stoppers. As soon as these came in, I sanitized and changed them out. As long as I make sure the stopper and the inside of the jug neck are dry, they snug in and hold until I remove them. Make sure your airlock is in the stopper before you put it in your jug though. I nearly lost one, but managed to hook it with a crochet hook before it dropped into the must. Oops.

They work great, but they have an incredibly intense rubber smell
They work great, but they have an incredibly intense rubber smell. I've scrubbed them and soaked them and they still have this overwhelming smell. So much so that my first batch of mead has an initial rubber taste, and the mead never even came into contact with the stoppers. If anyone had a way of getting rid of this smell I would greatly appreciate it.
