This product is the real deal. The stopper mechanism broke such that a major repair (disassembly/ reassembly) of the sink drain was required. I purchased this clever replacement that took about five minutes to open and install. It looks like it is original equipment, holds water as designed and saved me a lot of hard and costly repairs.

So my sink stoppers were old and not pulling up and down right anymore and looking water corroded, so I saw these and bought them. They just sit in the hole and pop open and closed by touching the tops! They work so easy for our older arthritic hands or for children to use. They look so nice and new and so easy to use. I then bought more for the rest of the house. They are holding up great so far, you can just lift them out and clean out hair or debris that it keeps from going down the drain too. I recommend trying them.

Positives: Looks gret. Operates smoothly and easily.Negatives:1.) Smaller center hole (smaller than the drain itself) makes the water drain more slowly than when using the original apparatus.2.) In MY bathroom sinks the section of the new unit sits slightly higher than it does without it. Therefore, even after the sink drains, there is some water that remains sitting in the sink. In fairness, this might just be an anomaly occurring strictly on my bathroom sinks.I'm going to keep them though because of the ease of cleaning hair out of it.

I got the brushed nickel and it looks very nice. I didn’t have to use any of the plastic rings. It fits perfectly in the drain. And when I fill the sink, it does not leak. I don’t use it that way, but had to try it. It’s perfect except that it does drain a little slowly. But that’s fine. It’s not a big deal. Definitely recommend.

Super easy to set up and replaced an old stopper that wasn't stopping that well anymore and water was draining. It works really well to keep hair out, too. Good product.
