If you grow Hydro and like to use clay this product is a good choice and value as is typical of clay pellets it is best to thourghly clean to prevent clogs and dirty water in your system . If your willingly to clean after use they can be reused for long lasting durability , they have good color and function very well for structure for the roots to hold onto and are definitely easy to use.

Overall good product. But Tons of dust and small pieces

I’m not sure how big of a box I was expecting based on the weight, so needless to say I was shocked to see how big/how many I received when the order arrived. These things are awesome to add to the bottom of standard planters with drain holes at the bottom to help prevent root rot and improve variation.

Good pellets, arrived in good condition, and work perfectly with my hydroponic setup. If anyone's curious how many pebbles you get at 18 pounds, the bag filled nearly two 5-gallon buckets.

I recently switched from my usual Hydroton clay pebbles to try out these new ones in my hydroponic system for growing peppers and tomatoes. These new clay pebbles are lighter and slightly larger than Hydroton, which I found to be a positive change. There was minimal dust in the bag, suggesting good quality and potential longevity. Out of the 18 lb box I ordered, only about 10 pebbles were cracked, indicating they are quite sturdy. While I can't speak to their long-term durability just yet, their initial performance has been promising.

I've purchased 3 other orders of this Leca, but this is my first time ordering the 2 18 lb boxes. To be honest , this order of clay balls was 'awful"! It was a big box of mostly broken pieces and dirt. I tried washing this mess and now soaking it in a cloning solution in hopes that they will still be okay for my plants. I didn't return because the box was almost 40 lbs and I had already opened and started washing the pebbles. Even though I've been satisfied with previous orders, this one was awful and very disappointing.
