DO NOT BUY!
DO NOT BUY! Terrible!!! I used to love these bulbs. But this year there have been ongoing outages when using them with Alexa. It is a Sengled problem not an Amazon problem. There was a work around with the smart Things app but that has now stopped working. And within the last few weeks they won’t even work with the Sengled App. I have about $300 in Sengled bulbs that are useless as a smart bulb. Ridiculous!

No communication when Sengled service is down. We are on our own.
About two years ago I bought several of these bulbs and, after a little frustration, I was able to get them working and use them through Alexa. My wife and I particularly loved the ability to lay in bed and turn the lights off without having to stretch (the considerable distance) to the light switches on our bedside lamps. Best things since the clapper!. Like most things, when the work well, you don’t even really think about the. HOWEVER, two nights ago, Alexa wouldn’t turn off the lights. She said there was no connection to the bulbs. I opened the Sengled app, but it wasn’t seeing the bulbs (which were powered on and therefor available to be controlled by the app). Last night, still not working (I tested all the other bulbs we have, same problem. The Sengled app said I didn’t have an internet connection, which was and is not the case. I did all the usual things to get it working again…turn my phone on and off, reinstall the Sengled app, reboot the router…all to know avail. This made me think…hmmm..maybe I’m not the only one and so I did a search for Sengled Outage….the AI summary said, none detected, but scrolling down I found many voices on Reddit indicating this was a widespread issue…and about 45 minutes ago, I received and email from AMAZON, indicating that Sengled has a service outage. Here is my complaint. They have had a problem for (as far as I know) almost 45 hours. They claim to have millions of users. Those of us who own their products are known to them. The is NO notification on their website, they have not sent out any emails indicating there is a problem and that they are working on it. Before today, I would have given a 5 star review, because the product worked as advertised and we use them every day. But the mark of a good or great company is not how they handle things that go right…but rather, how they handle things that go wrong. NO communication (except from Alexa!) about the issue is simply unacceptable in today’s world where a blast email can be composed, approved by management and legal and sent to every owner for practically no cost. Shame on you Sengled

Sengled WIFI bulbs no longer supported with Alexa.
DO NOT buy these WiFi bulbs. They worked for a while with Alexa. Then we got a notification from Amazon that Sengled is having issues with the software of these. They are fine with the wall switch, but nothing with Alexa. Sengled has no response to my inquiry. Amazon is not offering a solution either. Bluetooth bulbs are fine.

Once Great, Now Completely Useless – Beware Before You Buy
I initially loved these Sengled Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulbs. I bought a 2-pack to try them out, and over time, ended up purchasing a total of 12 bulbs to use throughout my home—in the office, bedrooms, living room, and dining room. Controlling them with Alexa was a dream. Being able to say things like “Alexa, dim the living room lights to 40%” or schedule the bedroom lights to fade off at night was both convenient and impressive. The brightness was excellent for our needs, and the dimming feature worked beautifully. However, the setup process was always a bit finicky. Connecting the bulbs to Wi-Fi often took some patience, and anytime we had a power outage or the bulbs randomly disconnected (which happened more than it should), we’d have to go through the entire setup process again using the Sengled app. That was a minor annoyance—until the app stopped working entirely. For the past two months, the Sengled app hasn’t functioned at all. That means we can't add, remove, or reconfigure any bulbs. Worse, the bulbs no longer respond to Alexa, which completely defeats the purpose of buying smart bulbs in the first place. And what makes this even more frustrating is that Sengled’s customer support is virtually nonexistent. A quick look around the web shows many other users in the same situation—stuck with smart bulbs that are no longer smart and with no help from the company.Functionally, when they worked, I would’ve rated these 4 stars. But with the app now completely down and no way to control the bulbs, they’re essentially expensive paperweights. I can’t recommend these at all anymore. We’ll now have to replace every single bulb with a more reliable brand. Disappointed is an understatement.
