My go to for scars. I used it as a kid for when I had busted my head open and now I use it for my kid when he gets cuts or scrapes. It smells the same and reminds me of my childhood. It’s worked really great for my kids and I highly recommend it.

We used this for about 2 months on a new scar and it did help somewhat with healing - the color of the scar blends in better with the surrounding skin and the scar was initially more raised and now is flatter. However, I have to agree with other reviewers: why, why, WHY make it dyed purple and grape scented?? There is no logical reason for either of these in a medicine that's applied topically. Are we trying to tempt toddlers to eat this stuff? Anyway, my toddler got hold of the tube one night, squeezed it all over himself, his sheets, a blanket. All dyed purple now.

My son cracked his head open and the scar is pretty dark. I have noticed it’s been lightening with putting this on 3 times a day

I got this for my 1 year old to help reduce a scar on her head. It’s tricky because it’s purple and grape flavored which is great for kids but also temping for kids. The color and scent make it appealing to try to eat it. I didn’t find it to work but also wasn’t consistent due to her age. It did take awhile to dry on her head which made it hard to keep on. After application it would leave a purple spot on her head and in her hair if it got in it. I ended up giving up on this and just let her scar be.

Received and started using a few days ago. Was surprised that the gel is not only purple (dries mostly clear) but is also scented. I don’t like the purple because I’m afraid it’s going to stain clothes, especially when my daughter wants to help put it on. I don’t want purple everywhere! Also, there are times when it does not dry completely clear and there’s purple on my child’s face. The scent is very strong; smells like processed grape candy. Seems unnecessary as this is not something you’re trying to get the child to eat. When my daughter‘s wound was still healing, I would put antibiotic cream on it when she was asleep- very effective bc she wouldn’t wipe it off. I tried to put this on her while she was sleeping one night, and it smelled so strongly she woke up. I’m going to talk to her doctor about other options so we can avoid the purple/scented nonsense.
