No complaints for the price.The hide is thin though and almost paper thin.So thin, there is a hole in one area that probably happened during prep and cleaning.No chemical smells. It actually smells really good like shampoo.The hair is sparse in places but still not complaining. Keep this in mind if you need the whole thing for a specific purpose or project.Feeling a bit guilty but I did this to myself when I decided to fold it in half and wonder how big the goat was. From the pictures, it is clear to see it is almost the full hide.I've added a comparison photo laid next to a vintage quality sheepskin.Bargain for the price but I probably won't buy again and continue to look for secondhand hides due to Amazon's shady marketplace. I can never truly know the ethics on here. A bit hypocritically, I do enjoy quality materials. Fur, leather should last a lifetime or more if taken care of and respected.

If I’d paid attention to how small they are— assuming they are from baby goats, I wouldn’t have bought them.

This is gorgeous! Reading the description, I had anticipated that this would be a 16x20 piece. It’s a full hide exactly as pictured but BETTER!To give a better idea of the size, the pictures are across the width of a twin bed.It’s definitely worth the price and I will be purchasing more!The picture and description are very understated. It’s rich in texture and absolutely perfect!

Horrible smell! I have bought other tanned pieces with a minimal smell- not the case with this!! It literally smells like it’s been sitting in the sun rotting on the side of the road like roadkill for weeks. I wish I could just throw it in the trash in stead of having to return it. One word- gross!

This was clearly a baby goat as this thing is not much larger than a typical rabbit pelt. I was expecting a goat pelt to be goat sized. Major letdown when the package arrived and I saw how small the package was, I knew something was wrong. Definitely would not suggest ordering for someone looking for a goat skin. Photo is next to a coffee mug for size reference.
