Question for the seller: Can I substitute a 7/16" punch in place of the 3/4"?

Depending on what you are punching this may be a mistake. The increased clearance in the parts could lead to the punch getting stuck and you will definitely have more deformation than normal in the parts. There will be a big burr to trim if it goes ok.

What is the smallest size (diameter) coin that can be used?

This is great punch and it will do Us Dimes with smallest punches

Can i use a hammer with this?

You could but by hammering may misshape the end ,thus taking away the ability to flip the coin and punch over to tap the coin off of the punch. I use a 150.00 press. Well worth the investment, it makes ring production fun and not a chore, which is how it should be...

Hard to get coin of after punching, any solutions?

I found using a little oil before you punch it helps and you might have to spray it again after as well.
