Lovely pictorial resource for learning the "doing" words
Picture My Picture produce a range of flashcards to support teaching and learning. They are made in Hong Kong for the company based in Melbourne Australia, they are also available in the USA. The language used does not seem to have any Australian or USA bias though, the English spellings are the ones we would use in the UK for all the cards I have looked at. The flashcards are twice the size of a playing card, glossy, colourful and durable - photo on one side, word printed on the other, excellent quality. This set of 80 Verb cards come in 2 sturdy storage boxes .Volume 1 in this set has straightforward actions pictured such as kicking, drinking, waving, and the second set moves on to more complex actions such as blowing (bubbles) or threading (a needle). The photos feature modern pictures using people from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and of varying ages, to which a diverse range of students can relate. There are additional cards in the pack giving ideas on how to use them in a variety of ways, differentiated for stages of learning .The best thing about these cards as a teaching aid is that they are very attractive to children and can be used in many different ways. They would be a great asset in any classroom for use in language teaching, speech therapy, small group interventions, to stimulate verbal communication, for any children who benefit from visual cues such as those on the ASD spectrum, for teaching English as a second language, to support project work or simply as discussion and conversation starters. Children can have fun acting out the verbs. There is lots of further information on the Picture My Picture site including video clips of the cards in use. A range of boxed sets is available, this one at £20 covers a great selection of action verbs and there is plenty to talk about!

Great for home learning or supplementary help for kids
This is a great teaching aid, that’s suitable for young children, and those a bit little older, that perhaps struggle with reading, or grasping the fundamentals of English. Ideal for speech therapy, English as a second language etc. alsoThe cards are well illustrated, with bright vibrant colour. The card stock is reasonable, with a degree of glossiness, perhaps not as much as I’d like, i.e. a more laminated finish (think quality playing cards). The finish could perhaps be a little more resistant to marking / staining, and be fully wipeable. I’m sure the cards will take a light wipe though, so should be fine if used with reasonable care. The pack comprises 80 Verb cards, across 2 x volumes in nice little storage boxes. Each card depicts a bright colour image / photo, with the verb on the reverse side. The set includes a list of ideas for ways to use etc; if you need some ideas beyond the obvious. These are ideal for my small Grandson who is behind with, and struggles with English, so this is perfect for him.All in all, this is a really good product, and well-made, and a good addition to other packs in the same range I have. Just the job for a teaching aid, and not bad value. The cards are a really good size.I hope you have found this helpful.

Great verbs flashcards but maybe check out the Language Flashcard Library first.
This is a great set of flashcards in a really good brand of resources. There are loads of verbs covered using different genders, races and ages. They are really nice glossy quality cards and useful size for their purpose. Verb/action on the one side with the word on the other side. They have been great for home use with our three, six and nine year old in different ways. The youngest thinks it's a great guessing game to call out each verb as quickly as she can when she sees the picture. The older two get a bit competitive trying to describe each verb with added adverbs more and more. It seems good value to have the two sets included. That said, if you spend a bit more on the larger Language Flashcard Library boxset that includes these cards and other useful categories too. Great set but if you need to go beyond verbs alone. I'd check out the Library boxset before you buy.

UK English language cards
I was a little concerned that these cards would have American spellings on, but my fears were unfounded. My daughter is an English teaching assistant in Spain, teaching English to children with the age range of 3 - 11, and was looking for sets of flashcards to suit all ages. They're quite big, being twice the size of a playing card, and with clear and simple photos. The two packs are perfect for her needs - the first pack great for the younger children, second suitable for the older age range. They fit well into the sturdy box provided, so suitable for her to take with her to school every day.I have had other sets from this brand and been impressed with all.A very useful teaching aid for those teaching English.I think these are decent value for money for the two packs as they will last several years.I hope you found my review helpful.
