Best beard balm/paste I've tried, and I've tried most of them.Most are too thin and oily to hold my beard into proper shape, and feel like I'm rubbing Crisco through my beard.This does exactly what I wanted: Nice hold without an oily shine.

Okay, like others have mentioned, this product does have an odd scent. It smells like your grandpas closet or some familiar old people smell. Not something I would want to use to attract modern ladies, they won’t like this stuff.With that said, it’s sad because the texture and hold of this dry paste is amazing! Comparing it to Gibs Original Outlaw & MVRK Dry Paste (love the most & great scent), it really is the best for that matte high volume finish. Great for thin hair. If they could make this with the MVRK scent, home run. I also love that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue, so girls can still run their fingers through your hair without getting grossed out.Great product, just missed the mark on scent.

Great product. Smells great.

The product is easy to apply and a small amount does the trick. I used it to smooth down my beard. Dries with a flat finish, so no greasy shine.I thought the Lanolin smell really dominates the scent profile and smells like a wet sheep…all day. My daughter thought there were some okay herbal notes too. But the scent is not for me.

I purchased the Claymore product recently. This is my second go round with this product and I love it. The first time I tried it my hair was much longer and I had some difficulty getting it to work properly. With a shorter hairstyle this product does a great job. It is easy to apply and gives me an all day hold. I’m 63 years old and have used a myriad of products over the years. None that I have been totally happy with. I think I finally found a product that will be my go to for a long time with the Claymore.

Love this stuff! Very dry and matte finish but firm. Perfect.
