A great product and an essential ingredient for preparing Peri-Peri Chicken Livers, Peri-Peri Shrimp or an all purpose Peri-Peri sauce. The Birds Eye Chili pods were well-harvested and crushed perfectly in my mortar and pestle and the flavor was full and well-rounded. Used to get the flakes in the store, but product discontinued. Had to search for a replacement and this product is so much better.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:if you are planning g to make peri peri chicken a la Nandos style…this is a must!

Anyone who knows piri piri knows how hot they are as well as the flavor. These have neither. I gave it two stars because they appear to be actual Birds Eye chilies but not the ones I’m used to from Mozambique.Maybe the seeds will sprout?I assume they are old or the prep required to import them to the US renders them flavorless.

The bag was opened. The plastic was cut from two sides. Some peppers look stale. Didn't know that item is not returnable. I can't use them so I'll be throwing it out.
