Q: Will this help with shedding

Our Vet recommends salmon oil to help reduce shedding. Our Bulldog still sheds but less than prior to staring the salmon oil. Her skin definitely is not as dry - no sign of dandruff now.

Q: Is it ok for my dog to chew these capsules?

Absolutely. I put these in my dogs food and she eats them along with her food.

Q: My dog doesn’t typically eat pills, does the smell seem to make dogs want to eat? Also how fishy does it make your dogs breath?

The capsule could be pierced squeezing fish oil on the food. Salmon does have the typical fish smell. Cannot say it makes dogs want to eat - my bulldog is a voracious eater and has no problem with these capsules. For finicky eaters, the capsule could be hidden in soft dog food or inside Greenies pill pockets sold in pet stores.

My vet recommended that I try fish oil

My dog has suffered from severe allergies since the day I rescued him. I've tried everything from shampoos to allergy meds. My vet recommended that I try fish oil.
