Vegan Ventures: Start and Grow an Ethical Business Paperback – September 9, 2015

Katrina provides great stories, motivations and philosphies of classic vegan businesses and their founders. I enjoyed ready and learning from their perspectives on how to be socially conscicous and an entrepreneur combined. It takes patience but it is the right, most just entrepreneurship there is with benefits to people, animals and the planet. Thank you Katrina for bringing these businesses to us. And thank you to the businesses whose mission includes animal rights.

I’m really excited about this book! Katrina Fox has created the very first guide to running a business with vegan principles. However, the tons of practical information applies to any entrepreneur.Vegan Ventures contains interviews with over 60 vegan business owners who chimed in with authentic experiences and real advice. It’s exciting just to see the diversity of the businesses that are run with compassionate values. As an entrepreneur and vegan myself, I can identify with their stories, struggles and am inspired by the obstacles they have overcome. Success is imminent!There are very helpful chapters on running a modern business and how to take full advantage of marketing, PR and Social Media.My favorite part of the book is about how all of these ethical business owners spoke about collaboration and supporting each other. It’s a real testament to the vegan community. I believe a great precedent is being set, that rather than fearing competition, these companies see that we’re all in this together, raising visibility to the common cause of saving animals. We can also do this, without being a charity. People are evolving to recognize the benefits of the vegan lifestyle and they need options. Big corporations are afraid of change. They profit from the status quo. Ethics and forward thinking aren't part of their business model. Small business, thinking outside the box, evolutionary and revolutionary thinking, are now part of the new fabric of the world. We can get on board!This book is in depth and informative and I feel ready to take on the world!

As a vegan in business myself, I appreciate reading a book that is specifically written for people like me. I think that many of us who choose to live an ethical life may have a little trouble with the harsh realities of the marketplace. We need a business book that speaks to people motivated by compassion and the desire to make the world a better place, while at the same time wanting to make a living and, ideally, build a business that's a rousing success. VEGAN VENTURES is exactly this guide, and it applies to every sort of vegan business and to every vegan who's in business. It helped me so much myself that I've made it required reading for prospective students at Main Street Vegan Academy, the program I run to train Vegan Lifestyle Coaches and Educators.

Running a successful vegan business is now a lot easier thanks to this book. Australian journalist and media trainer Katrina Fox compiles advice and best practices from dozens of business owners around the English-speaking world and distills it into easy-to-read chapters. I imagine it has a lot to offer to anyone whose business is rooted in sustainability or social ethics as well. The introduction by former Citibank VP and philanthropist Philip Wollen gave me chills. Vegan Ventures is the most exciting book release of the year. As veganism worldwide continues to grow, Vegan Ventures is right on time to guide those wanting to get on board the vegan train and launch a vegan business. I really enjoyed reading the advice and tips from successful vegan business owners featured in this book. For anyone wanting to run and grow an ethical vegan business, Vegan Ventures is a must read. I cannot recommend it highly enough and have the utmost admiration for Katrina for writing this ground-breaking book.
