Got these for my mom. She loves them. Way better than the cheap, target pencils. I love how the lead is the perfect thickness, as they don't break apart easily, lasting a while. The soft silicone part of the pencils make easy grip. They ease right on the paper, smoothly. Good for young children and adults. Overall they are really well designed.

I have been using BIC’s 0.9mm Velocity mechanical pencil for several years, both for work and at home, and have found them to be reliable and durable. The pencil feels good in my hand, and is comfortable to write with. Clearly a consumer grade product, the prices I have paid have been quite reasonable.The older version of the Velocity I have been using has since been replaced with this newer model, which features a clear plastic housing, and a stiffer plastic clip. Cosmetically, the new Velocity may be more attractive looking, but the feel is about the same, and it still operates and writes very reliably.A nice plus is that the eraser has been improved. It appears to be made of a different material which does a better job of erasing. Three leads are typically provided with each pencil, but the tube inside can easily hold twice that number. If you plan on doing a good deal of writing, getting some spare leads would be recommended.The Velocity is available in various colors when purchased in a set of four, but unfortunately for the box of 12 pencils, the choice of color remains limited to just blue.A very solid value buy, I highly recommend the Velocity mechanical pencils. I prefer the 0.9mm size, but this pencil is also available in 0.5mm and 0.7mm. Build quality is good, and should be sufficient for most casual users. And the cost is low enough so you won’t have to be too concerned, if you or your child happens to lose one.

Very good quality pens they are pretty easy to use and comfortable! And the 0.9 lead is very good for me!

Have tried 4-5 different pencils and this one beat them all hands down! All the others lead broke with minimal pressure and were not very dark. These have strong lead and the perfect color. Love em.

The mechanical pencils are very durable and write well.

Love these pencils. Just wish they were a little thicker…they would be to hold.

I'm a math teacher, so pencils are very important. I wouldn't use any other pencil. I write heavily, so I've tend to break the lead on most mechanical pencils. That is not the case with these

Love these pencils - LOVE them! I live with glaucoma, and often feel that to see what I have written, I need to strain myself even more to -- just to SEE. Since I begun using 9mm Velocity pencils there's less of a "strain" on my eyes, and I can see easier and better! The pencils are comfortable to use & I like the "soft grip"--really comfortable! The finish on these is nice; no sharp plasticky edges- nice and smooth, pleasant to use in soft, pleasant "calm" pastel colors. 9mm thick point seems darker than pen ink! I never even knew that you could get mechanical pencils with 9mm, and had no idea how much of an improvement That really is over 7mm mechanical pencils!!! I really like these... Living with glaucoma is such a bummer, and finding anything that helps me function better inspite of glaucoma is a wonderful thing! :) I just got these, but intend to buy another grouping of them since I never want to be without them - they are That nice! ( and, very reasonably priced) ! :)
