I need a light that can stay on and last a pretty long time. How long do these lights last until the batteries die?

These LED lights are VERY bright and each light requires three (3) AAA batteries, requiring al total of nine (9) batteries for all three lights. The most accurate answer to your question is: the duration of the light output is dependent upon what type of batteries you install in the lights. I probably use my lights in intervals of ten-minues each about five (5) occasions per week. I have had these lights for approximately three (3) months and I have only changed the batteries once (Energizer Max + Power Seal). The seem to last a pretty good while, but I do not know what type of time interval and frequency you require.

How do you put the batteries in?

Unscrew the back with a small phillips screwdriver and replace them.

Is the brightness adjustable at all?

No it’s just bright... We use them in our trailer when we don’t want to use power or at night.

Is the hook tight enough to hold the flashlight at any angle (ie: 90 degrees), or does the light always hang straight down when hooked?

The hook looks like the hook on a cloths hanger, so yes it hangs straight down. Hope this helps
