Good but
It’s a nice bit of kit that helps get the razor sharp edge on hook knives. But to be honest I used it loads when I was starting but I’ve found I really don’t use it any more now I’m more confident with sharpening. It’s good but you’ll find it will sit in a box after awhile.

Does whey it’s supposed to do well
I was gifted this by BeaverCraft. I was struggling to sharpen my hook knife and this is ideal for it. Substantial size with very fine, replaceable wet and dry on one side and leather on the other. Comes with stropping crayon.

Brilliant product. Ergonomic and sturdy. I strongly advise getting beavercraft tools. Good value too.

Quality cwas substandard
I was really looking forward to receiving this, but very disappointed by the quality of the construction. One of the long pieces of wood that holds the sandpaper in place is extremely loose fitting and is actually splintered. The whole system depends on that piece of wood being fit for purpose. Consequently, I'm expecting the lifespan of this particular strop to be pretty short. Additionally, I find the strop doesn't reach the end of my Beavercraft spoon knife. I own a fewBeavercraft knives, so I'm even more surprised and disappointed by this product. Shame, because it seems like a great concept in theory.
