Within just a few days of running it, our family felt a huge difference—no more stuffy noses. The air in the room feels cleaner and smells fresher, and it does an amazing job of capturing particles. I want to emphasize other reviewers' point that it takes a few days before you feel the full effect.The low and medium settings are very quiet; we run it 24/7 in our bedroom, and it's just a gentle hum that we don't even notice. The sleep mode, which turns off all the lights, is a great feature. The high setting is definitely loud, but we use it when we are not in the bedroom to give it an extra boost, for example, after we have had our window open.At the start, I took out the filter every week to gently vacuum it; now, it’s every two weeks. It will be obvious to you how many particles it captures in your space, besides all the small ones you don’t see that the carbon part of the filter traps. It’s recommended that you replace the filters every 6-8 months, depending on the environment. In our case, we typically replace ours after 6 months because we live where there is a lot of pollen for most of the year.We use the “LEVOIT Genuine Core 300-P Replacement Filter” which is the standard HEPA and activated carbon filter. There are three other filters made specifically for pets, toxin removal, and smoke removal. We have not tried any of those; the core filter is sufficient for us.The only real consideration is the ongoing cost of the replacement filters, but for the massive improvement in air quality and the relief from my family's allergy and general "stuffiness" symptoms, it is absolutely worth it. We are already planning on buying a second one for our living room. Highly, highly recommend!

It’s made a big difference with dust and pet dander.Noise Level:It’s extremely quiet on the lowest setting, perfect for sleeping. On higher settings you can hear it, but it’s more of a soft white noise that I actually find relaxing.Design & Features:The sleek, compact design fits nicely in my living room without taking up too much space. I really like the simple touch controls and the display light can be turned off at night, which is a big plus. The filter replacement is easy and the unit reminds you when it’s time to change it.Overall:If you have pets or struggle with allergies, this air purifier is definitely worth it. This works great. Improves the air quality really well. It’s a staple in my home. It’s quiet (I’ve had some pretty loud ones) and very easy to use. The filters and easy to replace as well. I also love that it’s not huge or to big for any area I’ve had it in.

As someone in healthcare, I care about what I keep in my surroundings, and fresh air is just the start for me. This was my second air purifier, purchased 12/2023 to help purify the air in my living/kitchen area.Well packaged, I received the product within the normal time frame. It came with Levoit’s original 3 stage filter and the user manual/quick start guide. Upon having it on, it was easy to setup (remember to remove the plastic from the filter) and took about 1-2 hours for my air quality monitor to notice a major difference.Quality wise, the purifier is not the world’s best, but it is an affordable, good option for those needing basic purification and are okay with living without “smart” features. If you want to easily upgrade the filtering a bit, Levoit does offer other filter options for the Core 300. I personally used the 4-stage smoke remover filter, as it seems to remove the most out of all the options. Filter changing wise, a filter lasted me about 6-7 months.Honestly, pretty happy with my purchase. With two cats at the time of purchase, I have noticed the purifier seems to help ease the amount of pet hair, dander. My allergic coworker was able to stand in my apartment without sneezing, which I say is a win.On a side note though, the product only lasted until 7/2025, starting to make a dull, squeaking/whistling noise constantly. Happily, Levoit’s customer service was great (came with a 2 yr warranty), and my replacement product is on the way! But other than the last month of it’s life, the product was not considered loud to the point of being noticable (and I have sensitive hearing/ears, per my ENT…and family), so unless you stand over it, you should be fine.
