Durable with subtle good looks!
I'm quite pleased with this bag. I've used it daily for 8 months now and it shows only the most minor signs of wear, mostly scuffs on the bottom. That is, it looks used, but not damaged.I like this particular color scheme a lot. The lovely metal parts in particular are a good match for some accessories I use all the time.I've thought of a few ways this product could be improved, but all are fairly minor.A snap to close the front pocket (under the main flap), just like the rear pocket can be closed, would be nice.A snap receptacle lower down on the front, near the bottom, for closing the main flap when the bag is not stuffed so full as to push the top of the main flap up would also be nice. Mine is almost never that full, and so the buckle and snap for closing the main flap usually end up dragging on the floor whenever I set it down. If I snap it closed anyway, the main flap sags lower and folds the buckle strap under, and this occasionally pops the snap loose if it gets jostled sufficiently. It might also be worth putting the other half of the extra snap on the inside of the flap itself, near the bottom edge, where the flap itself could be directly attached to the currently existing snap receptacle (instead of only being attachable via the buckled strap), which could also be useful when there is very little in the bag.I find the divider between the two portions of the smaller, non-zippered inner pocket a bit annoying. The pocket isn't deep enough to hold long narrow items in place well. I have larger items which would tuck into that pocket nicely, but can't fit because of that division. I thought about trying to remove the stitches which create the divider, but I didn't want to risk causing damage with my utter lack of experience in that field!Alternatively, the one zippered inner pocket is so very useful for keeping a collection of smaller items contained, I think replacing that divided pocket with a second zippered pocket would be amazing. Finally, the thing I've noticed the lack of most is a shoulder pad -- not primarily because I need a shoulder pad, but because it would keep the two sections of the shoulder strap from separating. When I put the bag down, the strap often tends to separate into a mess of multiple loops. Sorting them out when I pick it up again, so that I'm not just grabbing one of them and ending up with the bag dangling to my toes, and so that I don't have one section flipped over, is a bit annoying. I've looked for add-on shoulder strap pads, but I can't find any in remotely the right color. Most are black on black on black, and the leather ones tend to be expensive and a much lighter shade that wouldn't match the color bag I got at all.Despite the room for improvement, I still think this bag does its main jobs very well, so I'm giving it 5 stars anyway!

Great travel bag for men, easy to carry and reach anything you need.
On a recent trip I wanted something I could carry a bunch of different things with me (notebook, tablet, passport, cables, etc) and this bag did just the trick. I was comfortable to wear and light enough to carry all day. On top of that it was water proof, so everything in my bag stayed dry, even when we had a bit of an unexpected shower.Plenty of spots to put all sorts of things and everything was within easy reach.

Great Messenger Bag
Used this as my carry on and daily bag, in my recent travels. Fits great under the seats, in airplanes. Carried it around with the items I needed for moving around throughout the day. This wouldn't replace a backpack if you needed a lot of items, but if you just need a few it is perfect.Seems pretty durable, was mildly rough with it during my travels and it shows little to no wear. It is definitely water proof, got caught in the rain a few times with it, one time in which it was a heavy down pour, and nothing inside got wet.I will probably take it with me whenever I need a small bag and it looks good with most outfits too.Would highly recommend.

Good! But could have been almost perfect.
UPDATE FEB252024 One strap has been coming off and is nearly completely separated (new picture attached) but is still okay as long as I don't put too much inside. This of course is problematic as the reason I went with a canvas bag with leather and cotton webbing straps was it's durability. Bags like this should be one purchase a decade, not once a year.TWO WEEK REVIEW 26OCT2023Biggest issue out of the way first: the INTERIOR of the bag is just.... Awful. The lining is loose inside it, so that just kind of flops around willy-nilly and can wrap things up that are supposed to be on the bottom of the bag. If it had been left completely open, or the lining had been better secured, it would be an almost perfect bag. Also, the flap has a sort of pressed cardboard (think of composition notebooks from school) to stiffen the bulk of the front, and honestly I have no idea why that was put there. I ended up working it like a baseball glove to loose the fibers up, and it's properly floppy now, but it's baffling that someone thought "well the flap has to be partially stiff, nobody likes flappy flaps!"The nitpicks: the "light brown" is more like tan. The "wax" coating makes it hard to dye myself, but I knew I wouldn't be able to easily change the color before I ordered it.I'm not a fan of zippers, and was under the impression this was a purely button and strap bag. Perhaps I simply missed that in the description, but it's not a deal breaker for me and if I really wanted, I could use a seam ripper to take the zippers off. So far they're out of the way enough to be ignored. The strap IS functional, however the base is not sewn into the bag. Instead is a magnet button that does quite a good job of keeping things closed. I have only had it pop open unexpectedly once in the two weeks I've had it. Replacing the magnetic button by just sewing the base into the bag is an option I may take in the future, but the magnet has only failed once, so for now it can stay.I did cut the logo patch off the front, since I'm not being paid to advertise and I like a smooth finish. The spot has faded quite a bit and given a few more weeks you won't even be able to tell there was a patch sewn there to begin with.Rewaxing to keep the waterproofing is quite easy, and if you aren't sure how there are a few videos out there "wax waterproofing canvas" will steer you right.Quite satisfied with my purchase, although the above issues kept me from full rating. If those aren't issues for you, then you may consider it a 9.5/10 for me. This is now my EDC bag. Will update in the future about how it holds up.
