Perfect functionality
This spatula is great. It's thickness allows for greater flexibility, getting under and flipping delicate food without damaging it. It was also highly rated on ATK. I love it.

A Very Handy Spatula- and update!
I've had this spatula-turner for over a year now and it's become my "go to" spatula, the first I reach for to do the normal frying-type tasks. It feels good in my hand and is thin enough to get under things like pancakes and eggs. It's strong enough for these tasks but not quite stiff enough to handle heavier things, such as lifting large pieces of meat. For burgers and eggs though, it performs great! And, it cleans up quite easily too.I've not had any issues with it melting or deforming in any way, but I don't use cast iron or extremely hot griddles. I have a ceramic top electric range and mostly stainless cookware. I will admit that it took me a little while to get used to using it, but now I love it!The price has dropped since I bought it too, so it's an even better deal! Recommend!1-2016- Happy New Year! I can't believe it's been 3 1/2 years since I bought this! I'm still using it nearly every day and it's like new, except for a little darkened discoloration on the end. It's not melted or deformed and I use it for eggs, browning meat, and just about any other use I'd use a spatula for. Love it still!4-1-2019-- This is still holding up to, sometimes multiple, uses every day. It hasn't cracked or peeled at all, nor melted. I'd say that I've gotten my money's worth, but have one on stand-by in case it eventually wears out.

I was looking for a non-scratch spatula for use with Calphalon pans. This one, recommeded by America's Test Kitchen, is light weight and a nice shape for multiple uses. Flips and lifts multiple types of items with ease. I am ordering more for family. One drawback: when using to brown meat, (not even medium-high temperature) the tip melted slightly and is now roughened. This spatula is billed as HighTemperature.

So good gonna buy a second one
Really happy with this spatula compared to others that I'm gonna pitch. This is perfect for use with my non-stick cookware. It's thin for easily sliding under foods and rigid enough to support substantial loads. Leaving this review on my way to ordering another one.

our go to spatula for nonstick and stick pans
this is a wonderful spatula. can't live without it. great for pancakes on nonstick or fish. use it all the time and would buy again if it broke.we have two in the kitchen now.keep it away from heating elements--we left one on an electric burner accidentally and the handle got melted. so that's how we tell the two spatulas apart now. melty and regular.

Odd-seeming shape but works well
Despite the shallow-seeming angle, everything is constructed so that there is plenty of clearance when flipping pancakes, or similar, on a griddle. It's sturdy enough to manage heavier items (i.e. hamburgers). My only dislike is the fact that the factory did not remove the sharp flashings from the molding process. If I could, I'd take half a star off for that negligence. As others have done, I became interested in this because of an America's Test Kitchen review. I purchased it only after reading Amazon reviews because ATK is not faultless.

Almost pretty good... but
One of those kitchen tools you want to use because it visually appears worthy, suggests useful. "Sorta', Kinda'" is the reality. Flexible, but not stable. Oddly, food often sticks to the leading edge, yet in other instances (flipping pancakes as an example), it's too slick - unpredictable where the pancake might land, always a feeling you're not in control of the flip, and you're not! I've never gained confidence while using it, very unlike most noteworthy tools in the kitchen. Most annoying is the semi-curve design shape added to its lightness, it doesn't "rest" in any position, edge of a plate or a skillet, nor anywhere it's laid down. Often falls or slips, even onto the floor.Food sticking to the leading edge - I've tried buffing it with ultra-fine sandpaper... to no avail. Likewise tried a buffing wheel (used for polishing metal objects.) Neither solved the problem. Food still sticks.I'm at a loss to understand ATK's product recommendation. (Then again, not the first time an ATK recommendation left doubt, i.e., "what were they thinking?")
