2011 VW Golf: This is my second purchase of this exact product. Works well, but failed after ~2 years. I anticipate the same failure rate, but at these prices, well worth the $. SO, I will make another purchase in about 1.5 years, anticipating the next failure and will have the part in hand to make the needed fix.

Works great. Easy to install.
My trunk kept coming unlatched. Not open, just unlatched. So I'd be driving down the road or interstate and my dash would start beeping/ringing and the light would come on. It's just wouldn't saty latched! Anyways, we ordered this. It arrived super fast. Took my husband 5 minutes to install. And voila! No more problems. It's been over 6 months and it's still working great. It saved my sanity.

Longevity
This is my second rear hatch motor/switch that I have replaced. The first one left me dead in the water as the motor was stuck in the closed position and the manual release was broke so the hatch was closed and impossible to replace without getting hatch door open. I finally got the switch/motor out and replaced it with this new one and immediately heard the difference between the first one I bought and this one. So I believe the first one was defective. Hopefully this one will last longer. It is still worth it to me as this aftermarket product is a fraction of the cost of an OEM switch.

Works as intended
The latch fits properly in place of the original latch for the rear hatch on my 2012 Beetle hatchback. It works, with no complication. I worried this might be too cheap to even work once but it seems to be a legit replacement part. Phew!

Good inexpensive replacement
Worked great for my 2012 VW Golf trunk latch. After a year or so I was unable to open the latch with the VW symbol on the hatch, but it still opens just fine with the keys.
