SwissGearSion Softside Expandable Luggage, Black, Checked-Large 29-Inch

I bought two of these large suitcases to take on an upcoming trip. They seem to be very nice. The wheels are most important and the wheels on these seem strong and well-placed. They are big enough…I have been able to pack everything I want to take. I love the color. Not a red…forgot what the actual color is but I think it will be easier to spot on the baggage roundabout at the airport. The zippers seem just fine. I like the added pouches on front for last minute items. These seem sturdy, roll beautifully, size is great, color is very nice and the handle works perfectly. They arrived very quickly. We have used our Samsonite for years and alas, a wheel broke on a recent vacation. After many years of use…the pieces were looking well worn. It was time to buy new. I hope we have many years of use out of this luggage.

It is a basic suitcase.It held up well during 3 intercontinental flights. I used it a a second checked bag on a 3 week cruise. It is a bit smaller than my normal single check bag for a shorter trip. I like it because it is easy to handle and will use it for short trips instead of my larger bag. When I only need one bag.The color is easy to identify on the baggage carousel especially if I use contrasting color straps

This is a very well made and attractive suitcase. I don't like to review things until I have actually used them, and I recently took it on a 12 day overseas trip. It rolls smoothly, is well designed, and held up well. I'm very happy with it.

I bought the Teal and I must say that it is a beautiful shade. I really only use this size when I do a long weekend trip. This one is slightly smaller inside than the suitcase I'm replacing, so I have to do a tad more smashing to get everything in that I normally take on these trips and would not have managed without the expansion area. It does not come with any sort of hanger wardrobe, which I knew going in, but luckily one of my other ones does fit, just barely. The only part that I'm not sure about is the handle, as it feels a bit flimsy and wobbly when wheeling the suitcase around. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping it holds up over time.

Love this as I prefer soft sided to hard shell suitcases. I can get over a month’s worth of items & weight usually does not exceed 46 pounds. It has held up to over 5 overseas travel conditions & still holding.

I'm not a significant traveler, I've used this once for a two week cruise. But it was great, rolls nicely, handle is sturdy and it looks fantastic. Loads of room inside and I never needed the expanding functions. I'm glad I got the larger unit and had no issues with airline regulations. I'd buy another if I had to.

I have had this for almost 3 years now, and this has held up great! I travel for work 100% of the time, multiple flights every week, 49 weeks of the year, and it still looks great. It usually goes on the plane with me but it has been check a handful of times for various reasons and has held up with that also. I am very pleased with this, when I got it, I planned for it to last a year, however it is holding up so well that I don’t have plans to replace it yet. Only thing I had to do was put some lock tite on the handle screws as they would back out but since then all good. It has great carrying capacity, is sturdy, (my dog travels with me about 40% of the time and he goes on top in his carrier for going through the airport). It has fit in all overhead bins on the planes I fly on (Delta exclusively) fits even on the CRJ 900 overhead bins if you don’t stuff it full/need to open the expandable zipper. When this one goes out, I will probably buy the same one again. Very hard to find luggage that stands up to the use a road warrior puts it through (my colleagues have gone through a few), without spending an arm and a leg, this is definitely a great buy at this price.

This item is well made, but there are several design problems I discovered after using it. As a spinner it works well on hard surfaces. However many airports are installing carpeting. The small wheels don't spin/roll when it is upright on this carpeting.. I had to drag it behind me. The wheels also get caught on seems/connections between floor sections. Second, the clothes tie downs adjustment is low at the front of the bag. It is difficult to adjust/reach when the back and front ties are attached.
