I absolutely adore these headphones and they have been my sidekick for so long
I am sad that it seems like this is not being sold anymore because I've had my pair for several years now and it fulfilled its purpose beautifully as bluetooth noise canceling headphones with amazing sound quality. These were my first listening devices that weren't cheap $15 ear buds so it was amazing hearing all the wonderful details in songs that I couldn't hear before. I also didn't realize how much bass these cans had until I recently got a pair of Sennheiser HD 600s and realized that for some genres like club and dance music, my AKGs can be more enjoyable to listen to. These are incredibly comfortable and it's a lifesaver for airplane flights, public cafes, or just being at home with family. The one caveat is that over time, especially if you lean back against seats a lot, the plastic above the cushions will crack. And also not to sound gross, but the cushion on top will smell like head grease after a while so make sure to clean it every now and then. It's a soft suede but I haven't had too much of an issue with a quick handwashing and drying. The cushions also stay soft and smooth for years and it's only been this year that they finally started peeling.Overall, I love these and will miss them when they go to headphone heaven.

Incredible quality and style. Intentionally limited.
Got these used like new for $90 and I am blown away! They are more compact than I expected, but still fit comfortably. The sound quality is incredible, especially with lossless audio. As with all headphones, the bass is not perfect but you can only do so much to simulate a decent subwoofer with a driver this size and AKG managed to do a phenomenal job. There are no dedicated play/pause or skip track buttons but the volume ones are conveniently located. The active noise cancelation (ANC) is amazing! It works very well, but when you hit the button to switch to passthrough mode, it lowers the volume of your music to almost imperceptible levels. I wish there were a third option that would overlay the two audio sources to emulate open-backed headphones, but alas. Battery life could be better, but I am getting 5-7 hours of use per charge, which is pretty good. Overall, these are fantastic and do exactly what they are supposed to do and nothing else.Edit: I was mistaken; there is a play/pause button between the volume buttons.

Good sound
I read many reviews on these headphones, most said the sound was very good and I would agree. The noise cancelling is above average in an airplane environment. Other than during take off, the noise cancellation was good. They also do fairly well while vacuuming. While I would like a bit better noise cancelling, the audio is quite good and that was very important to me.One thing that caught me by surprise was the audio cable that was included. While at home I use the blue tooth connection, but on an airplane the audio cable is a necessity. Here's the surprise: the cable does not have standard plugs on both ends. The end that plugs into the headphones is smaller than the other end. That's fine for as long as the cable lasts, however I'm not sure (at this point in time) where to find another cable. Also, the cable wasn't a great fit on the Delta seat back entertainment system. There were times when the plug was bumped and I would lose a channel. However, the plug is an excellent fit in the Air France entertainment system. Had I realized the state of the audio cable when these headphones first arrived I might have gone with a different pair, I'm not pleased at all with this non-standard cable.

Best headphones I have owned so far
I wrote a review for these already because I received two of them with our new cell phones. But the review I wrote before did not mention the range of these. The bluetooth range is excellent for my use. I can walk around my whole basement with these on and not lose the signal. Very nice, compared to the several pairs of ear buds I have. None of those have a range of more than 20ft in my estimation. VERY nice to be able to walk to fridge for a beverage, to the bathroom to download previous beverage, to the shop to putz around, and to recliner, and not lose signal. These have been very comfortable on my XL head. I say XL because that is the size SHOEI helmet I used to wear. I also wear glasses, and it is very nice that the headphones are not pressing the arms into my temples. I read other reviews complaining about these being too tight against their heads, and that is not the case with me. Perhaps they would require a XXL Shoei helmet? That may be, but for my use, these have pleasantly surprised me with the ease of pairing, the sound, the bluetooth range, and the comfort. Well done!

They just work. That's a good thing.
I bought these ~ 9 months ago as a less-expensive-than-the-flagships but more comfortable-than-the-cheap-ones, decent, noise-cancelling headphones. I had found the cheap ones to be too small around the ears and not well padded, and had experienced the dreaded ear suck with a borrowed set of (older model) Bose. These have good sound and good noise cancelling; maybe not the best, according to reviews, but they dramatically cut down any sort of drone noise and nicely break up speech such that I can tell people are talking nearby, but not really make out what they are saying, so it's not distracting or annoying.I keep looking at the flagship options as an upgrade, because I would not minding having slightly larger earcups or slightly more powerful isolation, but all the flagships seem to have intermittent issues I just never have with these -- random squeeks on bluetooth, buggy laptop connections, perceived pressure issues from too-aggressive cancelling (ear suck). Not these. These...just work...and haven't developed any foibles or signs of wear after 9 months of daily use. I trust them. Can't beat that.
