Got this as a Christmas present for my 13 month old daughter. She loves to sit on the counters and “help”. So I haven’t had much use yet but it seems nice.Update: Get this thing!!!! Omg so helpful with a little one. Now she is my little helper and it has made making dinner so much more pleasant. She absolutely loves it!!!!

After buying, returning, and buying this product again, I can safely say it would be more enjoyable to you and the toddler in your life to take the money for this product, go to the bank and get $100 in Sacajawea dollar coins and throw them one by one into the sea.Why?After product (1) arrived we learned that the hinges had been put on backwards and the foldy part didn’t fold. That didn’t stop the box packers from forcing it to close and getting into the box and shipped off to us. Every hinge was twisty and broken, and the wood pieces were misaligned. As soon as we tried to open it, it was obvious it was unusable. While picking it up to investigate it broke into 5 pieces in a heap of wood.Despite my frustration, we decided to process a return for a new item. How could another one be as bad as that one..AMIRITE?Item (2) arrived a few days later and it didn’t have any broken hinges! It folded and unfolded as described. Beautiful. However on day two with the product while moving it 3 feet in the kitchen, it became obvious that the wood pieces were held together by a few wooden ikea pegs, no wood glue, and no screws. Once again it fell into a heap.The return process is an absolute disaster because the box is so huge and so heavy. And of course you will have already gotten rid of your box because this number likes to wait a few days before revealing they’re true nature as firewood.Please avoid this product.

Solid wood. Good looking. Assembled in minutes. Clear silicone treads on the steps add to the safety factor. Easy to fold up for storage. My 18 month grand daughter loved it. She was at the island with us decorating cookies, eating snacks, playing with play dough, etc. I’m very happy with this purchase!!!

The hinges that didn’t arrive broken, are already bending. So we’ll have to replace all of the hinges. Six of the 12 hinges have problems. Two are missing screws, two are bent, and two are missing the pins. We only received four of six of part B. And the least concerning issue is that the plexiglass is cracked by the hardware on one side. I honestly think it would be more of a hassle to return the entire thing than to fix the hinges ourselves. I think we do need those other two part B though. All in all, I’m not happy with all of the stuff that’s not usable with how much I paid for this item.

It’s sturdy but by no means compact when folded. My friend has a similar but different brand and it’s smaller overall. However it’s easy to assemble, change heights and collapse as well. The reason for 4 stars is that there’s a crack in the acrylic where the screw was tightened. I haven’t reached out to ask if they could send a replacement, but design wise it would probably be smart if they used a nylon or rubber washer instead.Follow up**After having one of the wood stepping boards break, we sent a notice to the seller since it was still within our return period and they were nice enough to send an entire new to unit for replacement. In just a couple weeks, the replacement base board broke while my child was inside. I would agree that this should be recalled as it’s a huge hazard. Please reconsider buying this because it’s very poorly made.

The hinges were defective on our tower, after a week of use and folding the tower only twice, several of the hinges are bent out of shape/broken- I believe the screw heads are too small to actually hold the hinges on. I don’t think I can return it now because it has been used and we threw out the packaging but I’m going to try- just a warning to other shoppers.

Update: the plexy glass side ended up breaking off after my,toddler leaned in it. Which kids will do so that was unfortunate. We will need to add a peice of wood on that side now so she doesn't fall through or try tl get down that sideLove this, and do does my 17 month old. It guve her a safe space to climb and have some independence. Also the first one I opened had a crack in the wood. The return process was quick and easy and my new one came undamaged.

Best thing we have bought yet for our toddler. He loves to "help" and be involved. It was super easy to get set up and conveniently folds away. So helpful for parents just trying to get something done with a stage 5 clinger!
