Compares very well to Sennheiser ew100
I found the reviews helpful and informative but saying it's a "great value for the money" doesn't give me the information I want to know. I've put together a review that compares the Tonor mics to the "industry standard" Sennheiser ew100.I've owned a pair of Sennheiser ew100 handheld wireless mics and body packs for 15 years. It's an awesome mic that has never given me any problems and only 1 dropout in over 2000 events. The Tonor mics are not equal to Sennheisers but they hold up well. Here's my breakdown.Sound Clarity: The crispness and clearness of the sound outputSennheiser 10 - Tonor 8Smoothness: How pleasant to the ears do they soundSennheiser 10 - Tonor 8Distance A: For users who hold the mic an inch from their mouthSennheiser 10 - Tonor 9Distance B: For users who hold the mic below their chinSennheiser 8 - Tonor 4Handling Noise: This is noise you hear when performers are holding the micThe Tonor mics have screw on barrels that need to be firmly tightened beforebeing given to performers. They also tend to loosen up over time so keepan ear out for that.Sennheiser 0 - Tonor 3 (Less is Best)Noise / Hiss / Hum: The noise exhibited from every analog electronic deviceIf you're using a good live sound board Yamaha, Mackie, Soundcraft, A & H you'll be fine.If you're doing studio recordings use another mic.Sennheiser 0 - Tonor 2 (Less is Best)Battery Life: Using 2 AA Alkaline batteries. Easily 10 hours. The batteries can be used for multiple events. Just turn the mics off whentheir not in use.My only gripe is that the receiving unit does not have a battery life indicator. The transmitter (wireless mic) does have a battery life indicator.Muting Circuit: When turning the wireless mics off there is no popping orexplosive white noise that would wake the dead. It's the same for the receiver. In retrospect, I'll still use my Sennheisers for critical situations (Live Soloist, Singer, Wedding Ceremony, Guest Speaker etc.) The Tonor mics were purchased for use in situations where I didn't want to risk having my Sennheisers damaged by people who didn't know what they were doing (Party Guests, Emcees, etc.) Could the Tonors be used in critical situations? Yes. Just test them ahead of time to ensure they'll work as intended. My conclusion is that they are very capable mics for events and bands. I purchased 2 units (4 mics) and they've worked great. And most importantly if they were to get damaged I can get a replacement very easily and inexpensively. I contacted Tonor about body packs and I was told it's in the works. Good Luck!

These are great mics
Been a musician for 40 years and I front aclassic rock band...My Ev wireless is 15 years old and i don't trust it anymore and after rading the reviews and watching all the youtube video's i thought i would give them a try..First off,,when the box came i coulld not believe how heavy it was...The reciever and mics are well built and heavy...The reciever has tons of gain and is dead silent..I only had to turn the the gain up to 9pm..The mic feels nice to hold and the screen is super heavy duty...The tone of the mic is a bit bassy but we have a digital mixer so a high pass filter so that cleans right up...i sing everything from Jeff Healey to Love Hurts and sing right up against it...There is no clipping and the mic sounds great...did a 3 hour gig and battery still shows full...could not be happier...anyone who says these are just for karaoke or speaking isfull of it..Give them a try you won't be sorry...Thanks

Great Mics but not 100%
First time with Tonor. I've used Shure and Audio-Technica wireless mics for years and the Tonor mic gives them a good competitive run for the amount of money they cost. The mics worked as advertised. Instant connection and clear vocals. Easy to use although the audio level metering on the base station was very non-linear. Didn't matter though since I always zero to the mixer. Didn't use it long enough to confirm battery life. All in all, quite satisfied. Unfortunately, I did have to return because the Channel A mic was defective. It turned on and off with a loud pop and there was a continuous background noise regardless of which frequency I used. Audio was ever so slightly distorted. RF Signal was always maximum level so it wasn't noise from that. Tried it on 2 systems with same results. Channel B worked absolutely flawless. Clear and quiet. Based on Channel B's performance and indicating the potential performance of a complete working system, I gave it 5 stars. I will probably buy and try another set when the refund is processed.
