Excellent for Thicker Pours - Minimal Bubbles and Easy to Use!
I recently used Total Boat Thick Set epoxy resin for a charcuterie board project, incorporating a small "river table" design. I was thoroughly impressed with this product! The mixing process was straightforward and the resin was very easy to work with. One of the standout features was the minimal amount of bubbles produced during mixing. Any that did appear were incredibly easy to eliminate quickly and effectively with a simple pass of a heat gun. This made the pouring process smooth and worry-free.This isn't my first time using Total Boat Thick Set, and it continues to deliver amazing results on my projects. Beauty, eh!
Product used to fill voids in a walnut headboard made from bookmatched sections of a 28" diameter walnut canker slab with numerous voids. Worked up a home-made pressure pot, product was mixed per instructions in 2 1-quart cups and then pressurized to 50psi for 10 minutes per seller's tech support. Pour was made. Gel time was exactly as listed and the pour came out crystal clear in a 1.5" depth. Couldn't be more pleased with both the product and the Jamestown Distributors' tech support.

Worked well for slab voids
Fairly thick application. Dries pretty quickly in deep voids. Requires heat to reduce bubbles in resin. Very Clear solid finished product. Works well would buy again. So far so good after 1 yr on cedar slab bar top outside on covered deck. Bit pricey.

Too many micro bubbles
Way too expensive for the amount of micro bubbles. I mix it with a silicone string stick and never with a drill attachment but this still just produces little bubbles even though the wood is also sealed. It looks incredible when it's poured but as it starts to get more gel like you really see all those little bubbles. If it wasn't so expensive it would rate a little higher but compared to significantly cheaper options like Alida it isn't worth it.

Table Top
I used this epoxy for a table top I made out of an old wooden dock, works well, be sure to follow instructions and have a heat gun for bubbles.
