ASUS ZEN WiFi BD4 meets expectations
There is a learning curve involved in setting up the BD4 Mesh unit. This can be solved by going back to the beginning and be sure you follow instructions implicitly. Be sure you review and take the time to understand them. 5 days after I started using the system I woke up to an internet failure, and for some reason the main unit had stopped communicating with the Internet provided router. This was easy to identify and rectify. My speed tests are approximately 10% higher than my previous mesh unit and connectivity is quick and seamless now. Very Satisfied.

Nice value mesh
Pretty good value mesh wifi. Range is great overall. Wireless backhaul is a bit unstable at times, but works mostly. Setup was easy enough if you have some networking experience, but not super intuitive if you don't.

Do not purchase you will regret
This device sucks. I spent over 12 hours morning through night trying to configure it. It would not pair with Xfinity modem. It would not pair with my own modem it said it was connected to the modem but it did not connect and I lost valuable time as well as functionality in my home as everything is controlled by Wi-Fi. The setup is long process for no functionality the app to install literally keeps timing out while searching for the nodes. I do not recommend this product maybe the newer version will be better but this is not a good version if I could give zero stars I would

Not bad, not great
When it works, it's good. Drops the connection a couple times a day. I got it because the reviews on the other mesh routers were bad. This one isn't much better.

A little tricky to install. Connection is good.
This review is for: ASUS ZenWiFi BD4 (3-Pack) Dual-Band WiFi 7 Mesh, 3600 Mbps, 6500 sq.ft, Dual 2.5G Ports, Security and Parental Controls Included, Smart Home Master SSIDsMixed reviews on this. Mostly because I am just knowledgeable enough to be dangerous when it comes to hardware. Much better with software!Getting this set up with my Xfinity wasn't the easiest. Following the instructions, there were some points where things were not as described so I had to kind of wing it.I did eventually get it set up, partly with help from YT videos.I put the main unit in the rear of my house. One is in the front of my house and the other is in my garage.Working pretty well. Speeds are fast and I haven't had connection issues since getting it installed.

Reliable Coverage and Easy Setup, but Mediocre Speed for Heavy Use
My experience with the Asus ZenWiFi 3-pack mesh router has been mostly positive, especially for everyday use. The system provides strong, stable Wi-Fi coverage throughout my home, allowing my phone to maintain maximum signal strength no matter where I am. Setup is straightforward thanks to the user-friendly app, and the routers blend in well with home decor. However, I did notice that when moving around the house, my phone sometimes takes a few minutes to automatically reconnect to the nearest router, which can be a minor inconvenience. For typical internet browsing, streaming, and daily activities, the speed and reliability are more than adequate. When it comes to more demanding tasks, like large file transfers over the network, the speed is just average. It’s not as fast as a wired connection or even a single high-end Wi-Fi 7 router, so power users might find it limiting for heavy network use.Still, for most households, this won’t be a significant issue, as the system excels at providing seamless coverage and stable connections for multiple devices.Overall, the Asus ZenWiFi mesh system is a solid choice for anyone looking to eliminate dead zones and enjoy hassle-free Wi-Fi throughout the house, but it may not be the best fit if you need top-tier speeds for advanced networking tasks.

Unstable and Disappointing for the Price
I was really hoping this system would be a solid upgrade but it's been frankly disappointing. The biggest issue is reliability. My devices constantly disconnect throughout the day which is a huge problem when you're trying to work or stream anything. For a mesh system at this price point that level of instability is just unacceptable. It also seems a bit misleading to market this so heavily as WiFi 7 when it's missing the 6GHz band. Being only dual-band really limits its potential and it's not much faster than older WiFi 6 systems. What really soured me on this though was the security issue. Learning that a severe vulnerability existed for a long time before being patched makes me question the whole "AiProtection Pro" feature. You expect better from a system that's supposed to keep your network safe. Between the constant drops the lackluster speed and the security concerns this system is definitely not a good value. I expected a lot more from ASUS.
