Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima Coffee & Espresso Maker by De'Longhi, Matte White and Glossy

Overall I'm really happy with this machine. I've had it for over a month and no issues with it working, frothing milk, and just making great lattes time after time. I even make 3 in a row for the family and it handles the use well. I like the variety of pods, and the greater volume of coffee in my cup. Make sure to use a large cup the first time. I use the Stanley 12 ounce camp cups and it fills it up perfectly. Quality of coffee is on par with coffee shops in my opinion and absolutely delicious.I had an older version, the original line with attached milk frother that always felt like too little coffee. As someone who switched to Nespresso 5 years ago, I was used to Starbucks lattes and regular coffee, so it was never enough with just one cappuccino. I'd be having two a day to get the mouthfeel and volume I wanted. With the vertuo I get a large latte with the double espresso and coffee pods. I really like the half caff pods because that's the one thing about this machine, there's a lot of caffeine in each pod so watch out for that.In terms of design, it's well done, looks very fancy on my countertop. I like how easy it is to use and clean, you just need to empty out the pods and water that gets in the pod container. I empty the used pods and water there every day and clean the bit of coffee that drips in the stand for the cups.The only design flaws I worry about is:- when you add the pods and press down and turn the top, it feels like you are applying a lot of pressure which makes me think it might break at some point-the milk container floats when attached. It's a bit wobbly, so far absolutely no issues, but I think I'd design the container to touch the countertop for stability.With Nespresso in the news about the leaking machines I would have worried about this purchase but since I had one that worked for over 5 years, I figured I'd take the chance and so far I'm really glad I did. There's nothing like coffee shop lattes every morning at home. :)

So EZ to use...makes great coffee, espresso, cappuccino , cream....I haven't tried iced coffee yet, but looking forward to it.I still have more to learn about the pods. The pods are ejected and collected after use to be recycled. You're automatically prompted to clean the milk frother and is cleaned with the push of a button....LOVE IT

My wife is a total coffee snob, and she absolutely loves this machine. She’s been making espresso every single day since we got it. The taste and smell are incredible — rich, smooth, and aromatic — just like a café-quality coffee at home.The machine itself is super easy to use, fast, and the coffee it makes is just amazing every single time. She’s genuinely impressed, and that says a lot because she’s very picky about her coffee. If you love good coffee, this machine is worth every penny. Highly recommend it!

I purchased this in mid September 2023, it is now December 2023. It made great coffee the first 6 weeks or so, I used it to make 1-2 cups of coffee a day, and in the first few weeks, so enamored with my new toy, I would force coffee on any guest in my home. I used it according to directions and kept it clean, clean, clean, we are a clean family. Yes, I descaled my machine and used the used the nespreso brand descaler (incidentally, and very importantly, when the machine needs descaling it simply stops working without notice - it does not care that its a busy morning and you are rushing off to work - one morning it made my husband's coffee, then would not make mine). It simply will not work again until you've watched a YouTube video in order to figure out how to complete the time consuming and complicated descaling process. Over time (3 months), the machine started producing worse and worse coffee. First, the milk stopped frothing so nicely, less and less each day, so that at this point, 3 months on of 1-2 coffees a day, a latte plus a full cup of steamed milk produces half of a small coffee cup. At the same time, the coffee became weaker and more watery. How does this happen? Overall, this machine has been lightly used, excellently maintained, but a lot of frustration and a big waste of money. Also, I have spent the cost of the machine in purchasing their stupid copyrighted pods - no alternatives available for this machine. I wish I had purchased the competing brand, and probably will purchase the competing brand unless customer service replaces my machine, because I've spent way too much time trouble shooting this mess. I will update my review to let people know how my experience with customer service goes today. Interestingly, their customer service does not open until 10am EST - to avoid the wrath of people seriously upset over their lack of morning coffee, no doubt.
