Superb bass guitar
Been playing full-size bass for a few years, got sick and tired of the bulk and the tortuous nigh-on 11 pounds of heft. Did some research, picked the Mikro, completely stunned and delighted with the purchase. A few pros and cons for y'all..**PROS**Incredibly light and comfortable, 6-7 pounds?A delight to play, and so easy too, a fast satin maple neck, so good it's difficult to put this bass downWide range of tones, sounds fantastic, from slap to rockWell-made and looks smart in the natural finishWell-balanced on the strapNo problems with the hardware on mine, all frets smooth and level, all hardware fine, no buzzing/crackling/funny noises, and it holds tune perfectly. I just needed to lower the strings and tune it.Fits a standard electric guitar gig-bag**CONS**Some bassists will sneer and tell you it's not a 'real' bass (but everyone else will love it)Some websites say it's a bass for children/beginners/people with small hands etc. It isn't- it's a fine bass for anyone that values comfort and ridiculously easy playability over tradition. I'm no Geddy Lee, but neither am I a novice and I can't ever see me buying another long-scale bass again.**CONCLUSION**I'm under the impression that short-scale basses are growing in popularity. After using the Mikro for a few days I can see why.

CONVERTED TO HEADLESS
As a guitarist, I always feel uncomfortable with the scale length of a regular bass, and its weight. The Mikro is perfect....very comfortable.... and to me, sounds great stock. I also have a Blackstar Carry On bass. This has really fat strings to get the tension for such a short scale. The Mikro has regular strings which I find more comfortable. So, to reduce overall length, I did this conversion to headless. I have done this to a few of my guitars, but this was my first bass. When I discovered this hardware on Temu (£42) I figured this would allow conversion with minimal work. It was a gamble, but paid off. Everything fit perfectly with no routing. To get the correct height I only had to shim neck with a strip of old credit card. String height is perfect. The metal of these Chinese bridge hardware conversions is often suspect, but this unit is hard steel. The string holders at nut did not strip the threads and hold perfectly. Only issue was screws not right length, so I replaced those.Very pleased with bass & conversion!

Perfect!
Great little bass, as a guitarist I just wanted something for recording basic bass tracks, not too keen on full size bass guitars but this is roughly the same size as a strat. Very easy to play and sounds pretty good (for the price).Neck was a little rough in a few places, but not bad overall. I will be getting it properly set up sometime soon and I've changed the strings for flatwounds. Ideal for kids to learn bass on or like me, guitarists who don't want to have to bother with the huge real thing. This is really good value for money, i'm happy with mine, I wasn't expecting much but this is way better than expected!

Great workmanship high end 3/4 size bass guitar
Bought this for my granddaughter who normally uses full size bass guitar which is way too heavy for her. This one is very lightweight by comparison and it really is well made. The fret sizes are great for those small fingers and the action is well set before packing. The guitar also has quite good output without using the amplifier which is great for practising at home. The guitar comes well packed in shaped cardboard box with some polystyrene packing and a soft whites cover bag. It is pre tuned and ready to go.My son is a professional bass guitar technician and he says he can’t fault it. My granddaughter loves it and I am very pleased with purchase. I notice the price has gone up recently I paid £157.00 but it is now advertised at over £180.00.

Incredible value for money
I've been playing bass on and off for a year, mostly off because of the size and weight of my old guitar. So, bought this on a whim while discounted, and I've already played more this week than in the last month. It's very comfortable, no more huge stretches for notes, sounds great, feels solid, holds tune and is light without feeling cheap or too different from my full sized. It looks great in its natural dark wood, not plasticky.Would 100% recommend, I've got pretty large hands but still vastly prefer playing this. I guess it's slightly less cool, but what do I care! One day, if I get better I'll upgrade to something fancy, but this guitar is perfect for me right now.

Beautiful playable bass.
I have been delighted with the Ibanez Mikro. A joy to play. It’s a lovely instrument, well finished and designed. And, no uncomfortable stretching for me….. I’m a short scale fan now! My only minor gripe would be the current Ibanez aesthetic to avoid markings on the volume and tone controls, not a big issue, but it would be useful to see what the settings are. Just a dot would do…… looks beautiful though!

Impressive for price.
Dubious about a low cost bass but very pleasantly surprised.Used it live and have to say this guitar is so easy to play and sounds amazing for an entry level short scale bass.Only adjustment I made was lowering the action. Original strings sound good, no issues.Highly recommended.
