what is the diameter of the handle at the widest part? trying to find a power razor (for gillette blades) that will fit in the stand.

I actually use my old Gillette stand, after I tossed the Gillette handle. This one is excellent, no flash light, though I believe that was unnecessary and a drag on the old razor
