To add new batteries is it a screw lock so kids can’t get to the batteries?

Not sure. It came with the batteries already in so I didn't have to put them in. I will check with my granddaughter and find out

Idk about the try me option. The only thing the tractor does is have green light up wheels that only turn on when the tractor wheels are spun

No, the tires light up when the tires roll. The color is a neon green. When it sits still there is no neon green light.
