How tall are the individual pieces?

The standing soldiers are 1 3/8 inches (3.5 centimeters) tall. The others are all shorter. They are about 1/2 the size of the old school soldiers.

Can these be used with Axis and Allies?

My son plays a game that he calls Axis and Allies but he makes up a lot of games and rules so I am not sure if he actually playing it or not. They are very nice army men. We've had them for at least 4 years now.
