I use top loaders and this was just what I was looking for. Works well as per instructions. I now can have fresh smelling washing

Our washing machine had stopped taking softener from the tray which was becoming a problem for us, and my other half had heard of the Downy Ball, so we decided to give it a go. It's a pretty basic product, you open the ball by pressing in the top plug, fill it with softener and pull the plug up to close. It goes into the drum with the washing and automatically opens during the wash. It's very easy to use and to keep clean, and now our clothes are soft and smell fresh once again! Recommended.

So the product is great and does what it says on the tin. It solved the issue with my washing machine not getting the conditioner out of the tray. already used it a few times and never had a problem, released the softener every time.Works well with my front face load machine.Only downside and reason why I give 4 star is the fact that you cannot buy them individually. Since you will only use one the other two are wasted money. I will keep them as back up even if the product looks sturdy and hopefully will last a long time.

Great idea to keep your washing machine dispenser clean. Easy to use, just push down the ring and pour in your softener. Pull the ring back up and chuck in with your washing. A little tip, add a little more softener into the Downey ball as there always seems to be a bit left after a wash.

I didn’t realise before purchase (because it didn’t make it clear on the item description page) that this is designed for top loading washing machines, not front loaders like 99.9% of people have. I bought this because my front loader’s fabric conditioner dispenser stopped working and we live in a rented house so the washing machine isn’t ours to replace. Luckily this still seems to work at least slightly- may be wasting a lot of conditioner but the clothes again seem softer and more scented than when I was putting the conditioner in with the soap powder

These are great. My washing machine stopped dispensing the fabric conditioner (don't know why) and when I saw these I thought 'YES !' The product works really well. You fill it from the top with a measured amount of conditioner (markings to guide you on the side) and then pull the loop to seal the opening. Put it in with the wash (in the drum) Works like a charm. Pacj of four not really necessary, but I have kept one a spare and given the other two to family members, who are also very pleased.

Bought a new washing machine with auto-dispense and it doesn't dispense enough softener on the bedding. Found this item which I read the description many times because I couldn't see how it worked - it is brilliant. You put softener in, pull the plug into place and the weight pulls it out when the first spin happens to drain the soapy water. Simplez.

arrived in good time, works as it supposed to, lets see if it lasts as long as the first one i had it for 15 yrs and just recently the seal went on it. What a tread to be able to find more after all this time. Downy should see if they can sell them to the manufactures of top load washing machines. They r the bomb.
