What is the purpose of my life
Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. Fortunately for me, I've already found my purpose/element.. What this book gave me is validation. I could totally relate and understand some deeper feelings. Felt good to read such inspiring stories too. Have also bought "finding your element" and intend to help others find their element. Because I know how it feels, and how important it is.Don't think, just read it!

A gem from Mr. Robinson
I found it to be an immensely satisfying self-help book because it contained a lot of information about finding one's true passion and how our education should help us to find it but is somehow failing. Ken Robinson has used numerous examples of people who despite lacking conventional "talents" created a name for themselves and the various circumstances, challenges and opportunities that arose in their paths. This book will directly speak to those who feel that they are engaged in a wanting career.

Lost passions.
Why did we lose our passions as we excelled at math and science ? Just how did that happen ? The book is a road of discovery of feelings and emotions which are buried so deep that we sometimes have forgotten they exist, but its good to know that they exist and can be nurtured before its too late.

Succinctly explained
The variety of people whom Sir Ken has interviewed, he insights that he gained from them and the observations from what usually holds people back from reaching their potential all this put together makes it a wonderful read. I would recommend this one to anybody who feels that they are and can be much more than what they currently are and be so doing what they are passionate about.

I think Ken Robinson is an excellent speaker but a less engaging writer
I think Ken Robinson is an excellent speaker but a less engaging writer. This book is probably inspirational for someone who is reading this type of book for the first time but it is like any other "find your passion" book. A light hearted read but may not hold your attention. Amazon did a good job of shipping. The book arrived in perfect condition and at the promised time.

If not for the teacher in you, read it still for the human in you!
A very simple to read and yet leaves one with thinking. There are questions like, is it really possible for mass education or is it for few? Nevertheless the factors mentioned in the book are honest and achieved by many. If not as a teacher, the book surely is a must read as an individual, for self and for others.

wow
Once, in a Humans of New York post, a person was asked what made a good poem good. He answered “easy, a poem is good if am I different person after I have read it”.My mind kept going back to that idea over and over again while I read this book. It’s like it just cleaned my mind out of all the garbage I had accumulated over the years about what intelligence is, what my talents are, what do I actually enjoy doing and what I plan to do in the future.Couldn’t recommend enough.

excellent, similar message to "Cirque du Soleil: The Spark"
I was very impressed by Ken Robinson's TED talks. I like his fresh approach to education, based on observation, and applying different paradigms to different situations. This book has a good positive message, somewhat similar to ="Cirque du Soleil: The Spark", which is also about finding one's own strengths and building on them: striving to do better, and often achieving previously unbelievable goals and results.
