My wife can bath safely using this item.
My wife uses this to get in and out of the bath, and once or twice to get back up after a fall. Its heavy, I set the seat in the bath at full height and check that its stable. She sits on the side of the bath them turns so her legs and in the bath, then scoots over onto the seat. Then I lower the seat. Sometimes she bathes while in the lowered seat, sometimes she 'scouches' forward and I pull the seat out from the bath. Its quite heavy, she can't lift it herself, but together we figure it out. I put the seat on a bathroom mat, because it drips a lot, then when she wants out we reverse the whole procedure, with the addition of a blanket to wrap her shoulders so she doesn't get cold while the seat is elevating. Also, once time I had to raise up a heavy queen sized bed by putting longer legs on it. I put the seat under the bed and raise up the bed (as if the seat was a car-jack), then installed the longer legs. I recommend this item,

Lifesaver, Backsaver
My mom has Parkinson’s and falls a lot. It was getting harder and harder to lift her up as she was getting more and more stiff. We were so close to having to move her to an assisted living home, but then I bought this chair lift. This chair has literally bought her almost another year in her home so far! Easy to use, sturdy, and stores away nicely in her closet when not in use. She’s not able to crawl over to the chair after she’s fallen, so she still needs an able bodied person to help her onto the chair, but it’s saved our backs from lifting her ourselves. Be careful with the fold out “wings” though, they don’t attach securely to the chair. So if you accidentally step on one while trying to help your loved one onto the chair, they’ll slip out from under you. Just don’t bother using them, you really don’t need them anyways. Otherwise, this chair is perfect!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I am nearly 80, live alone and hate showers. It was getting harder and harder to get out of the tub. I researched many makes and models of lift chairs and chose this one. I have a jetted tub with many odd angles and safety handles that protrude into the interior of the tub on both sides. Fortunately, the lift still fits my tub (barely). If you have a "normal" tub there will be no problem with the fit. My tub is surrounded by a wide tile edge and the bathroom counter blocks access to much of the tub. Despite all this, the lift works! I reversed the direction and face the foot of the tub rather than the faucet. This allows me an open area to exit the tub and I also have a safety bar on the wall at that end. I love it! It lifts me to a standing position easily. I highly recommend!

Great for lifting someone off the floor and transferring to wheelchair.
While designed for use in the bath, we have used this for elderly lift off the floor. Worked good to prevent what otherwise would have been a call for an ambulance to get off the floor.

Fantastic lifting assist
This lifting assist chair is honestly fantastic!I ordered it Sept. 14th, delivery was Sept. 15th. It was well packaged and fully assembled. The charger to use the chair was also already charged a bit. This made it easy to test it out quickly.I was so thankful it was assembled, that’s the biggest bonus ever. Honestly, this company thought of everything to make things easier.I am fully impressed with the chair, the easy operation of the chair and everything!I read the instructions and tried the chair out and it was a total success. I then tried it on my husband as I purchased it to lift him. Every time he falls I’ve had to call for help lifting him but not any more.I’m 68 years old 5 ft tall about 120 lbs with a bad back. My husband is 69 years old and is just over 6 ft tall and weighs at least 230 and maybe more. After he fell 5 times within 14 days I was ready for a new plan and this chair was it.I am thrilled that I purchased this lifting chair, no regrets.I also like the way this company is easy to call with questions, etc.I plan to buy additional handicap items from this company as needed. I’m VERY pleased with everything!I’m so excited that I can finally help my husband get up from falling without calling for help. Thank you for making it possible. Update, I had to try the chair out on my husband the following day from another fall. He was completely impressed at how easy it was to lift him. He also really likes the design of the supports on the sides. The holes to place your hands make it easier to grip. He said it helps him feel more stable/supported during the lift. We are both thrilled with this purchase !Additional Updates (1):There are little tiny wheels that help SO much to move this chair easily when folded up to transport/roll as needed. Makes it so nice when you can’t lift heavy weights.I leave the chair unfolded with the bottom base of the chair neatly tucked in under the end of our bed and out of the way. I just pull it out as needed to use.Update (2):I just purchased a second lift chair to keep in the trunk of the car as my husband has fallen numerous times getting in and out of the car - It’s a life saver! It was hard for me to keep putting our house lift chair in and out of the car each time I transported my husband. I put the chair in a heavy plastic bag into the trunk ready to use and pull out as needed.*** Caution: You must NEVER leave the operating battery device in the car!!!You must Keep the lithium battery operating cord device out of car and transport with you until you need to use the chair. This is mandatory, trust me!The battery/cord device is a lithium battery and if it gets HOT it could blow up. I’ve seen it happen with another lithium battery so I’m super cautious and hope you will be as well.Lithium batteries do not like temperature fluctuations! Be cautious and respectful of your operating battery cord please. Please error on the side of caution and you won’t have any worries.I keep our lithium battery cord with me in a small Bright RED Fabric tote when I transport my husband at all times. I take the RED tote with me along with my purse into our appointments and church, etc. I never leave it in the car. It’s a little inconvenient but well worth it!When I’m not transporting my husband I leave the RED tote & chair battery cord by our front door ready to take as needed. The chair is always in the trunk of the car ready to go.The RED tote is easily identifiable and the RED color defines it as emergency use so it’s perfect. We never forget it and my husband always says be sure we have the RED bag. It’s part of us now when I transport him. It’s also easy to hang the RED tote on the back of the wheelchair when transporting as well. I hope this helps other’s.

Great Purchase
Since my mobility is pretty well shot and I really miss taking a bath, this has been a real lifesaver for me! The only drawback is that I feel as though I need a "helper" to stand by in case I can't get out of the tub. So far I haven't needed one and I am capable of doing this by myself.
