Meroncourt BIO-MB221005ATA Messenger Bag with Japanese Logo, Red (Crimson Red)

This is a great bag – exactly the same layout as another bag I had from Eastpak – zip pocket on the front flap which secures with two pop-clasps, large main compartment with a zip all around the outside to increase the width of the main compartment; another zip inside the main compartment with a good size pocket. It also has two unsealed pocket areas (don’t put anything valuable in there!) under the flap and a Velcro big pocket on the back of the whole pack – which sort of divides it in two. Great for shoving winter gloves or hats in! As I said, very very close to the Eastpak design – but quite a bit taller / deeper, which is nice. And, to top it all off, the retro Japanese Atari logo and colour are great – the colour is a muted, understated maroon – funky and stylish. Bought this as an over-the-shoulder hand-luggage bag for short trips, but think I may end up using it all the time for work. Also, very quick delivery from bioworld. Recommended.

Bag is fantastic, evri delivered saying left in safe place ,what a total joke,got phone call from my neighbour saying she'd caught someone trying to walk off with the parcel, evris idea of a safe place was just throwing it in the front garden in full view ,beyond unhappy with the delivery

Everything is as described. The plastic parts are best replaced by carabiners as described in other reviews (don't go cheap here), the rest looks fine and there's a lot of room. It really is big.My only complain would be that the main compartment has no closing system, so it remains "open". The fourth photo actually shows an inside pocket closed by a zip, not the closing system of the main compartment.Because of this, the edges of the bag might go passed the top flap, so a thieve could get access to the inside - water or dust as well.There's an additional zip underneath to extend its size.To make it really perfect you can:- replace the plastic parts with metal ones (minimum recommended)- use a waterproof spray on the outside to make it more water resistant- add sticky velcro pieces on the inside top pocket to have a rudimentary closing system

It looks great, loads of room, the material is very strong, but the plastic clips are cheap and nasty. The front clips require something (I used gaffer's tape) wrapped around the ends of the straps to stop them slipping through the clips, and the shoulder clips have little strength and one of them slipped free once and the bag with my laptop inside almost crashed to the ground.
