I just got the freewing 64mm f16 for my son (1st plane) and I can't seem to get the throttle or the ailerons to work properly. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have the radio bound properly to the receiver? That’s the first thing that comes to my mind. Does the elevator work? Make sure the servos and speed controller are plugged into the proper places on the receiver.

Can control rates (sensitivity) be adjusted on this model?

This is very simple (not a computer) transmitter. There is no dual rate capability built into this transmitter.

What are the recommended rechargeable battery packs for this Tx and Rx?

The Tx uses 4 AA batteries - not rechargeable. The Rx uses what would be a typical flight battery, 4.8 volt or 6 volt rechargeable battery. The manual indicates up to 7.4 volt batteries will work with this Rx.

Can this tx and rx be used for rc car/truck/crawler?

As far as I know. It’s only for rc aircraft.
