What is that flip up item next to the coasters and does it come with it?

No, all you get are some cheap cardboard one time use coasters

Wouldn’t the colorful image stickers come off with condensation?

They don’t seem to. I’ve had these coasters on my grandson’s night stand for years, and still use them. You can wipe them off if you need to and they hold up.
