No Batteries!! No fuss!! These things just work great. I end up replacing one or both of them every 3-4 years, but in-between they provide daily service without fail. And at this price point, four years is a great bargain too. Heck, you'd pay triple that in batteries with that type during that same time frame.Avoid the battery BS, forget the ones that are priced like they are made of gold... these rock the house (literally) for a great price. Highly recommended!!

Our older versions we had for almost 8 years. One side stopped charging so we had been alternating fr charging. They still worked fine but I felt 8 years was a good return so I got a new set.

Never thought these would be so useful, but once you have them and use them you will never want to go back to manual ones....

This is my second set. First one salt grinder quit and replacement parts not available. My kids got me the first one for Christmas gift few years back. Thought you got to be kidding me. Didn't take long and I was hooked. When it quit I was heartbroken. My Daughter found another one and I ordered it. Use it daily. Another little unnecessary convenience, but gotta have it now.

I purchased it thinking it would be awesome. I unloaded it, set it up per instructions. The mills work per instructions but the lights in the base didn't come on. Here's the amazing part. I called Cuisinart customer service, the woman I talked to not 5 minutes ago after waiting 20 minutes on hold tells me-- Ummmm you should return to amazon, we don't have any of the bases in stock to send you. You need to return it to Amazon. I said Ok, will you get some more? Ummm you need to return it to Amazon. I played along and said "Well, if you don't have any in stock and you say I should return them, I guess they are pretty bad, huh? She said, you need to return them to Amazon. Lord, I hope Cuisinart looks up the recording of this call. I have the Cuisinart grill and love it, that's why I tried the mills. Nope. Anyone know of a good rechargeable, I hate changing batteries and clearing clogs, that's all I did with my Wolfgang Puck set.Alright, in trying to use up the pepper and salt I had put in the grinders so I could return them, I found I REALLY like the grinders. So, I tried again today. I spoke with a Christine (a?), she apologized for her fellow customer service rep, told me I could use warranty service and had me note step by step instructions on how to return the defective product. This is what I call great customer service. This is how you get repeat business.

I wound up returning this item from Amazon because it was broken, but I later bought another one at Bed Bath & Beyond.I really like it because it makes grinding sea salt a lot easier and it even has a light so you can see where the salt is hitting.The button on the front makes it easy to hold and then hit the grinder with your thumb. And the bottoms detaches for easy filling with salt or the spice of your choice.Think I'm going to buy a second one for red and white peppercorns.

Good product; arrived timely.

This is our second set….I have very weak hands and cannot turn the usual salt and pepper mills. These are fantastic and go from stove top to table.
