A good peep into AI-powered personal tutors
I completed reading the book 'Brave New Words' by Salman Khan of the Khan Academy. Growing up to be responsible while his parents broke up, Salman Khan is an inspiration of sorts who had a comfortable banking job but who chose to start a Not-for-profit in the form of Khan Academy, backed by Bill Gates. He had his own way of teaching difficult concepts to his nephews/nieces and the chain turned him into a full-time educator.Brave New Words shows us how AI-powered personal tutors can change life positively for the teachers as well as for the students. It explores various possibilities when ChatGPT offered to allow Khan Academy develop Khanmigo, an app that is now available in over 40 countries.

good read
Good perspective on AI in education sector with some real life use cases. Sal has done a good job explaining and recognising the perils of AI as well and how one should counter them.

It's nice book but stops there
I am a big fan of Khan academy and what it done to democratize education. This book on using AI does provide a nice structure to the whole thought process and discusses areas of focus. However it looses out a bit on depth in each topic and after a while it becomes bit repetitive. Hoped a bit more concise and nuaced view point from such an educator.

Misprint of Chapter 8
The media could not be loaded. Chapter 8 was not correctly produced, with pages from chapter 9 printed instead. The book was still an amazing read for all the other viable chapters, but this was really disappointing.

Nothing more than what you read online
Expectations were high. Book is nothing but a regular read and bit of marketing for the learning platform and his views that AI should be used as a compliment for educating students

Superb
If you wish to know what you do with LLM in the field of education, you should read this book. Sal has coined the term "educated bravery" to deal with the fear that comes with AI.
