The iron is good, it's light and moves easily over the fabric without catching. It gets hot enough to iron most of the fabrics I've tried it on so far without having to put water in it and steaming them. The only slight drawback is that there's no real place to put the cord, I wound it round the bottom and it kept slipping off.

This is a more lightweight iron than my old one, but it still feels solidly made and it gives great results. Even though it’s lighter I don’t find that I have to press harder thanks to the excellent steam delivery, and even stubborn creases seem to melt away without a lot of effort including those items which can sometimes be a little trickier. The solid feel comes from robust build quality and I like that the iron feels like it's going to last a long time. It was easy for me to get used to the different placement of the controls compared to my previous model, and it's easy to use too. A particular plus point for me is the generous length of cable at over 2.5m. Overall I find this is a good quality iron which gives very good results.

I have had three Braun irons now but this is the best of the three. It heats up in less than 90 seconds, has a good shot of steam, is a nice weight of not too heavy but not plasticky and cheap. Irons really well with no creases and glides well over materials. Looks good and I can't think of any negatives at all about this product and therefore strongly recommended.

The supplier has been fantastic addressing the fact that ours has broken after 9 months. This review is about the item:It didn’t last a year. In our case the steam boost button has broken and is completely out of its frame inside the handle.Over the last nine moths to: Nit great with hard water either despite cleaning it as per instructions. Lots of clothes stained.Some have said you can wind the cord out of the way. We could never get it to stay put. Not a great design feature for an iron really.Overall very disappointed as bought because we felt German engineering wouldn’t let us down. It did.As said, the seller has been fantastic, just the item itself is poor.

Brauns latest steam iron has a lot of really good features. The iron is slightly on the heavy side particularly when full of water. The iron heats up quickly and is ready to go with seconds. The raised plate is another useful feature to assist with button zips etc, and helps to glide over pockets and really improves the experience of ironing, it even helps iron backward.The self cleaning feature prevents steam build up which can produce a horrible white powdery substance which can be iron onto clothes, this is a thing of the past with Brauns new steam iron.Slightly pricey but the new features make for a worthy ironing experience.
