I would think so. Ball valve shutoffs are all basically the same. I guess if somehow your valve was “upside down “ you would just mount the auto shutoff motor the same way. I don’t actually own the water heater shutoff. I own A couple of the washing machine shutoffs and I love them. I guess I didn’t realize there was a water heater unit, I might need to get some of these too

Q: I want to install on straight copper 3/4 " pipe, what compression fittings do I need on inlet and outlet of solenoid valve?

The MyGuard Automatic Hot Water Heater Shut Off System (model MGWHTR) servo unit was designed to be installed on the shut-off valve of the hot water heater. It was not designed for installation on a straight copper pipe.

Q: Is the water heater model the same one offered by diddly deals from rca?

Both the MyGuard & RCA Automatic Hot Water Heater Shut Off System and Water Leak Alarm and Detector Systems are made by the same manufacturer - Voxx Accessories Corp.

Q: Is there an option to have a gas shut off valve included in this system.

Currently, there is not a gas shut off valve.
