This is a nice find and buy in my opinion. Great pieces of wood, seems prettt symmetrical and easy to work with.

Nice lumber, surfaced well as advertised
Personally, the surfacing isn't an issue--although this lumber is surfaced perfectly as advertised--since I have a planer and jointer. Rough lumber would be cheaper--but since I can't drive a car--I pay shipping. Shipping, if you can get it) is outrageous. And I like reasonably straight lumber to begin with.I've bought many types of lumber from Barringtons Hardwood, and it's all very good (domestic, and to a greater extent, exotics).

The wood was square and clean at it's length of 18 inches. excellent buy!!
The product arrived ahead of time , pack so no! damage to turning blocks. the 2x2x18 were clean and notflawed. Good buy!

Quality wood, true 2x2 dimensions. (Not like big box hardware stores where 2 inches is 1.75)The sanding on the outside is more rough in some spots than others. This is not a problem for wood turning as it will all get shaved off. If you wanted to use these for a function other than wood turning, you will need to plane or sand the surfaces. Again, this is not a problem for wood turning which is the advertised purpose.Have ordered the Mahogany and the Walnut so far for projects and are as described.
