A Delicious Ramen
It can be made in 3 minutes, but I have managed to extend it to about 20 minutes. It is a great soup. You get the noodle pack and a small packet of dry soup mix. You can put 2 cups of water in a bowl along with the noodles and the base and put it all in the microwave for 3 minutes, and it is done. This is what I do. I slice a vegetable (one of radish, leek, cauliflower, or turnip). I like only one of these at a time. I boil the vegetables in the microwave for two minutes, while two and a half cups of water is on the stove to boil. The vegetables are put in the water on the stove. When it comes to a boil, I put in the noodles, for three minutes (on a timer). In the meantime, I prepare the base with the powder they have supplied in a large bowl with a small amount of hot water. To this powder, I add ground red pepper, black pepper, small amount of turmeric, mushroom powder (if I have it), and a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Then I pour the liquid from the boiling noodles into the bowl and mix in the base (with the additions). Then, pour in the noodles. You have to let it sit for a few minutes because it is too hot, and still cooking. That takes about 15-20 minutes, but it is delicious.

Better than your typical Walmart Ramen for sure!!!
My entire family, and I love these! We buy them quite regularly! They get five stars! Reasonably priced, and great taste!

Love
I'm half Japanese and grew up with a Japanese mom. These are the only Ramen noodles kept in our house. They taste great and are a quick and easy meal. I like to add egg to mine. Buying in bulk helps cut down on cost!

Solid instant ramen base...
Not as good as I remembered. Salty but you can moderate that by using less of the packet or adding more water. There are better tasting instant ramens but this is still a value. Great springy noodles and flavorful broth (for instant). Worth the extra cost over the cheap brands like Top Ramen or Manchurin.

The best of the instant / quick cooking packet ramen brands out there.
So this is my favorite of all the 'instant' / fast cooking packet ramens. It's not the cheapest brand of instant ramen on the market, but it's in my opinion the tastiest ramen fixed as is.This ramen's closest competitor is Maruchan Ramen Soy Sauce Flavor but I give Sapporo Ichiban Soy Sauce Ramen the top price for flavor as is. Better balanced than Maruchan's seasoning. It can be made fancier as I suggested in my review for Maruchan Ramen Soy Sauce Flavor by preparing it in broth (vegetable or mushroom for vegans/vegetarians, beef or chicken for everyone else) instead of plain water & by the addition of a few vegetables (mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, green onions).A nice practical present for a college student or someone who travels or camps in an RV or trailer is an electric hot pot plus a case of Sapporo Ichiban. That will allow someone to fix a hot bowl of ramen without a kitchen or even a microwave. Both could be ordered from Amazon.

My current favorite ramen.
I like it the easy way and the hard way.The easy way:Pour flavor packet in a bowl, add uncooked noodles, pour boiling water in & cover for 3-5 minutes (depending on how you like your noodles.) Eat.The hard way:Sautee thinly sliced onions in sesame oil in a pan, add enough water for broth (depends on how "soupy" you like it), add a spoonful of garlic chili sauce, a splash of soy sauce, some dried parsley, some grated fresh ginger, give it a gentle stir, and bring to a simmer (not a boil.) Crack 2 eggs in, drop the dry noodles in, and cover. Do not stir. Wait a minute and turn of the heat. Wait another 3 minutes. The eggs should be poached nicely - leave the lid on longer if you like softer noodles and firmer yolks. I like my noodles slightly firm and my yolks runny (they're fresh from my own chickens.)Enjoy :)
