Also get the rear sway bar links.
These fit my daughter's 2014 Camry perfectly, and were fairly straightforward to install. I highly recommend looking at multiple YouTube videos for insight. I also recommend getting the rear sway bar links along with these, as I had to cut the old ones off with my 4" angle grinder. Due to corrosion, I was unable to remove them as designed. The hex key hole was badly rusted, so the 5mm hex would no longer fit into the hole properly. This delayed my installation by two days. Just a word of caution.

Smooth ride returned to 2018 Equinox Premier
Installing front struts was completed without any issues. Rear shocks include a stainless steel nylon lock nut and just the shock. You have to remove the retaining fixture from the old rear shock to bolt the shock to the frame. I have an air impact wrench which I used to remove the nut from the top of the old shock. Instructions are lacking on this point. You might think you have the wrong shock when first comparing old and new shock. I did a lot of research before purchasing the TRQ strut and shock absorber kit. I looked for KYB initially but they do not make shocks and struts for the Equinox. I have used Monroe in the past also. I decided to purchase the TRQ kit which arrived 2 days after order placed. My wife texted me this morning that the smooth ride had returned to our Equinox. She is the primary driver of the vehicle. There are a number of negative reviews and I must say that I am happy with the purchase.

Know what you're getting into and that's fine.
The price is certainly right and I'm thankful for that, but the ride isn't as plush as stock. The shocks frequently throw suspension service error messages that were not present when the blown factory stock shocks were still installed.

Bad out of the box!
Where do I start? After ordering strut assemblies and other parts, received a partial shipment. Called Autobuffy to find out where the rest of the order was, they claimed it was delivered. After several calls and 3 days the missing pieces showed up. So now I can work on the car. After installing the struts and driving I notice a clunk when driving over small bumps. Thinking I didn't tighten something, I take it all apart again. Nothing wrong on my end. Take it to mechanic who diagnosis bad strut. So now I call Autobuffy to ask for replacement. After explaining to the customer service person, they transfer me to online customer service, who doesn’t answer the phone 4 out of 5 times. When I finally get the person and explain I need a replacement, the connection is bad and they hang up. Another 5 calls to get the online person, another explanation and they say they’ll send a replacement… no questions asked, like this happens all the time (bad parts). So on Thursday they said they would email a confirmation that the part was shipped on next business day. Friday & Saturday no email. Call Saturday serval times during business hours listed on web site (Saturday 8:30a – 2p EST) goes to hold… “Our representatives our busy, blah, blah” no one answers. Monday start calling at 9a, must go through customer service to get transferred to online customer service. Again 4 out of 5 times no answer or leave message. Left so many messages. At 3pm get the online customer service person, “Das”, who I spoke to on Thursday. Says he will send tracking number when the replacement part ships, probably Tuesday morning. Not holding my breath!

Major upgrade standard shocks!
I was going through the regular, mainly duralast, shocks very quickly 1-2 years at best. We have a small family farm so I do put a bit of weight in the back of my 2005 Chevy Suburban. But really 2 years was the best I was getting out of other shocks which at the current not awesome prices is unacceptable. So I started looking for a bit of an upgrade and came across these at a much better price than the part stores. So first off I grabbed a Wearhouse deal (because I love them! ) so mine came in repacked and NOT pre-compressed so that made putting them on a bit more tricky. We just had to jack the truck up in stages because the jacks I had didn't go that high. Other than that they went on pretty easy. LOL It looks like I have a lift kit in the back now. It brought the rear up at least an additional 8".The less the kept up roads around here (including our driveway) are much less bone jarring to drive over now. Much smoother ride, I am going to look for front ones of these now. Some of our frequent outings are over very much in need of TLC roads and with these they were much less of a roller coaster. For comparison it took 300+lbs of animal feed in the back to bring these shocks down to what the other shocks were at brand new with no load in the back.

Fit perfectly. Easy to install after watching TRQ install video on youtube
The shocks seem well made and were heavier and more robust than the original. The struts were also solidly constructed. Shocks and struts fit perfectly and it took me about 3 hours to replace all 4 components.Getting the 2 bolt pins out was the hardest part, the video makes it look easy but those things are stuck in there good. I soaked them in penetrating oil and put the nuts back on the end of the bolts to protect the thread and hit them squarely with a hammer to pop them loose.Using a second jack to raise things up was helpful to get it aligned to slip the pins back into the holes.

These Turned Out to be Great!
I bought this set when I saw it on sale. After my purchase I started hearing all the horror stories about how cheap they are and how the brand is inferior to every other brand out there. Well after driving my car around for the past month after installation, I gotta say that my car has never ridden better. Even though there are other premium expensive brands out there, I would have no problem purchasing these again or any other TRQ item for that matter. My car has gone from bouncy and feeling every bump in the road, to handling like a dream. If you're in the market for new shocks and struts but need to save some money, look into TRQ. But as with any important purchase, do your research. Don't just take someone else's word for it. Because at the end of the day, you're the one out the money if you make a poor purchase.
