Just got this wall-mount stainless steel dryer vent in just now, and man, I must say that I am very impressed with the quality of this vent! It looks like something that would be installed in a multi-million dollar house on the beach. I'm not sure why they put a fine mesh screen in it, because if you leave that in there and use it for a dryer, it will clog up within a few days, but I suppose if you were going to use it for a gas heater or something that doesn't produce lent, that would be fine. I will simply cut out the stainless steel screen with a razor knife for my application. The sleeve where the dryer duct gets hooked to even has 3 springy prongs to help secure the duct to the vent if you are hooking the flex duct directly to this. I was going to have to pay $33 for a beer can-thin, very cheap-looking aluminum vent at the local big home improvement store that rhymes with Comb re-po, but I decided to check on Amazon. Wow! This was $10 cheaper, here the very next day, 5 times sturdier and waaaay better looking! Worth every cent!

Prefect fit and was easy to install. Just placed it up we shall see how long it last!

Needed a good quality replacement. Didn’t know there were different sizes. Ordered the default selection of a 6x6 but returned it for a 4x4. Had to wiggle it in but it worked perfectly. The screws also were able to grab and thread properly despite the broken piece flathead screws being loosely thread through. The screen in this piece is loose though, so it needed adjustment. Overall, happy with the inexpensive replacement.

The dimensions of the product worked perfectly for my use case. My whole house quite vent , vents to the outside of my house under my deck it is a very tight location. This vent worked perfectly. It seems to be made of thicker plastic then my previous vent cover. However, I found one issue with the vent after installing it. The screen behind the louvers is not secured. After turning my house vent on, I went outside to check on it. The screen almost blew completely out. I fixed this issue by super gluing the screen to the plastic vent. This seems like a trivial step that should have been performed at the factory. Or at the very least provide instructions on how to best secure the screen.

Quality. Happy I didn’t get the cheap plastic one that cracks in the cold.

I like that it is metal instead of plastic however it was the wrong size for my vent.
