Three 10 Month Unlimited Student Saver Pay As You Go SIM

I got this prior to a holiday in the USA. My current provider charged an absolute fortune for data when abroad and also for calls. This card got me 12GB of data for a tenner, which I could use freely whilst roaming in the US. It worked really well, speed was acceptable (depending on local provider, which is out of Three's control), and it just all worked. I have a phone that support dual SIMs so I simply put the new SIM in alongside my current one (i.e., in the second SIM slot), and then in settings (Android) I disabled my current SIM just before I flew. My current provider knew nothing about my trip so couldn't extort me, and I had plenty of data for messaging and browsing whilst abroad. I got my wife one too and we could call each other on our (new) UK numbers for free, all included in the deal. Note that calls to my normal number would not have come through (of course, because the SIM was disabled), but I was fine with that. Calls to US numbers, however, were still outrageous.

As the headline, used in the USA and saved a lot of money.Only issue was when it (I presume) connected to a new carrier in the USA I had to tap the icon at the top of my phone , then the 3 dots and say "use network as is" each time. That was a bit of a pain to work out at first and you may have to do it a few times if you're planning on diving far.Other than that it was great.

I should have paid attention to the reviews... Avoid if you don't want hassle. It does not come pre-loaded, and now I'm in the middle of trying to sort it out with Three. First I was told to send it back to Amazon, like it had nothing to do with them. When I pointed out that the package it comes in is theirs and it specifically says 12GB pre-loaded pack, they are now willing to "look into it". Their thoughts are that this is an outdated offer, that £10 only gets you 8GB nowadays, but how is this my problem? I see X advertised, I buy X, I expect to get X. We'll see how much hassle I can take.UPDATE: It took me several attempts, but I managed to get someone at Three to give me the data (and some extra as a "good will gesture"). If only I could have used it! I got this SIM to travel to the US and not pay the extortionate roaming charges of my usual provider. Well, most of the time it didn't connect to any network, and when it did I got the dizzying speeds of an E or H connection (forget 4 or 5G, it didn't even make it to a plain G!). In the capital of the US, not rural Utah! Shockingly terrible, left me stranded more than once, I wished I had paid the extortionate charges and I would have saved myself a lot of trouble! AVOID!

Ordinary pay as you go UK sim card

Got this for travel to USA as a second sim for data. No issues with it working or having the data available. Signal wasn't great on the foreign network but it does work.Turned out it wasn't needed as o2 now allow to use it there anyway but if you need a roaming sim it works fine.

I bought this to use on a recent trip to USA. Swapped out my normal sim in iPhone XR. Activated at home and although it does not show it has credit used abroad no problems. Called home and searched the internet showed the use on the app which showed the calls and data use but registered them as free. Going again in a couple of months and will certainly be using again.

We travelled to Missouri and Chicago. Activated the card the day before travel . Everything worked well . We only used about 1gb . Using WhatsApp and Google maps. Good value for money

I stupidly ignored all of the other 1 star reviews and bought anyway. Big mistake. Received a 12GB preloaded sim only to find there was absolutely nothing preloaded about it. After arguing with Three over live chat for 20 minutes they finally agreed to credit the sim with data but argued that this offer was out of date (telling us it was a year old) and it was just a goodwill gesture. If the offer is out of date stop selling it on Amazon and stop linking to this product from your official website. Completely unnacceptable. You can literally order a free sim from Three which is essentially the same as what they are selling here.We are looking to use this sim on a trip to the USA so it remains to be seen whether it will actually work when we get there. If you want to ignore this review and buy it anyway just be prepared to set aside half an hour to argue with Three and get what you actually paid for.
