Intel Xeon Gold 6348 Processor 28 Core 2.6GHZ 42MB Cache TDP 235W (CD8068904572204)(OEM Tray Processor) Ice Lake

Bought 2x Intel Xeon Gold 6348 for a new GPU server. They work together like they are one CPU with 56 Cores. These have a boatload of cache. Very hard to go back to regular PC afterwards. Even 5 GHZ monster with 18 cores feels weak after using this. The cache makes a huge difference. On the downside, these are a bit pricy. Installing the heat sink and cooling module are interesting but not for the faint of heart. I would say these are a step up from a single Threadripper because the heat distribution is far better. For those that strongly prefer single CPU setups for a desktop, I would suggest Workstation (W) class Xeon chips.
