Great for Plants, but will dry out quick
Nice planters and fit our deck railings well. They are sturdy and a good size for various plants, herbs or flowers. I even considered doing strawberries in some. It comes with 4 total. The only downside is that the liner is very breathable, meaning lots of water goes through. Your soil will dry out quickly. You can typically get plastic inserts, or I know my mom used to put diapers on the inside before the dirt. Our plants have done well, but need more watering than usual because it does dry out quickly.

Love this for porch planting!
I have a white railing on my front porch similar to what is pictured! I am going to order another set for my back deck, which has a 6” pressure-treated railing top. The coconut liner is a little on the thin side, but for the price, that is understandable. They are vulnerable to birds picking at them anyway for nesting material, so I usually replace those every year or every other year as needed with similar hanging baskets. As shown in the second photo, I attached the brackets with the black stops pointing in toward the matting. At first, I did it the other way, since that is meant to cover up the assembly and is more visible. But and this is important, those black stops prevented the planter from resting flush with the vertical railing. It may look wrong to you but it is what I needed to these to hang correctly over my railing. I plan to remove the coco mats and spray the entire metal assembly with a couple coats of Rustoleum or other protective spray, and repeat every other year or so. This will add years to the baskets. Otherwise they will rust and fall apart. I will also line the baskets with plastic or plastic bags, perforated for drainage, otherwise the soil will dry out rather quickly. I am thrilled with the price of these and have ordered a second set so I can do my back deck.

Quality issues
I ordered two sets of four and three of the eight received are poorly made and are either damaged or have seems that were not connected. These are not quality planters.

Sturdy and nice
I like these planters. I attached mine to deck rails. They’re attachments that come with them are easy enough to use, and I felt like they’d work with a lot of different configurations. They planters not extremely deep, so some plants might not work in them. I planted mostly petunias and was happy with it.A tip - the coco liners don’t hold any moisture, so any watering you do flows right out almost immediately. I ended up lining the inside with some plastic to help with water retention.
