Q: Will this keep out bugs and spiders?

It’s a velvet covered roll that stays snug against the door but I definitely think if little critters want in they will get in. I don’t think anything like this will stop that. They can crawl under and around it because they are so small. But I don’t know that for sure. I am using it to keep out light from under a door inside the house.

Q: Could this work on a 23.5 Inch door?

If your door is on a wall with flat area on both sides or one side even, yes it will work! But if not, it might be hanging. I love mine! Enjoy! Elle
