Very happy with this air conditioner
Works really well. Cools a small room (about 120 square feet) in a few minutes. Quieter compared with other brands and models I had before. Easy to install. It looks much nicer than ugly window units.

Very effective unit
I live in an old energy-ineffecient house and this has done a good job cooling down multiple rooms at once on cool mode. I've also been pleased with the heating feature, but I haven't used it when the temp has been below 60F yet. My windows size is in-between the size of the base plate and base plate + extension, unfortunately, so I had to have part of the extension cut off so that the plate would fit. It was easy to install after that, but I had to add a piece of insulation foam below the plate because the bottom of my window frame is below the level of the sill. I didn't have any weatherstripping in the box.I bought a SereneLife brand AC unit especially because the manual doesn't forbid you from using a plug adapter or an outlet that will also be used by something else. I haven't had a problem using it with an adapter or in an outlet along with the battery backup for my computer. The outlet is grounded, though, it just doesn't have a plate on it that accepts three-pronged plugs.I've only had to empty water out of it once after a few weeks of using it, but I don't use it for more than maybe 5-6 hours at a time and not every day (I also don't live in a humid area). It was very easy to drain and it tells you when it needs to be drained. I've cleaned the filter once with a vacuum, but it's tricky to get the filter screen out of the back of the back grill. The screen wasn't very dirty even after multiple weeks of use around a cat. It's also not too loud even when you're near it. I can easily tune it out to work. I let it sit upright for over 24 hours before I turned it on for the first time.Other things I don't like (besides the plate design): (1) is how easily the exhaust hose disconnects from the plastic ring that attaches to the back of the unit. It's easy to reattach it, but it's annoying. (2) the room temperature sensor isn't accurate (at least in F). It's always a few degrees higher than the room feels.

Mixed reviews this far.
I bought this AC/Unit / Heater in February 2022 for my man cave area of the home. At first everything worked great. Heat was warm and A/C was ice cold with absolutely zero issues. To be honest this is a very simple device that is easy to setup and use. Instructions are simple. I was to preface this also stating this unit was NOT heavily used. The noise level is moderate (it is not quiet) but can be tolerated by turning up the TV or surround sound. I did not expect it to be super quiet so this is not an issue. What was an issue is that at the end of July 2022, It stopped working. AC was luke warm at best in the middle of the a Southern US summer. At first I was just going to toss it out and be out 400+ bucks or whatever I paid at that time. Instead I told me wife let’s see about this warranty which I turned over to her to deal with.At the end of July my wife called the company to request warranty assistance via a number found for them on google. She was able to get ahold of somebody who stated that a claim was submitted and we would receive an email within 24-48hrs. We did receive a complaint ticket # or reference number for this call. After 3 days we received no response or email and yes we checked junk mail. My wife called them again and asked what the status was and again was told she would receive an email within 24-48hrs. After 48hrs we again had no response so my wife called them again and was told again we would have an email within 24-48hrs. She used the complaint reference number each time she called. After the 3rd callback she received an email within 24hrs asking if we did all the simple things the directions said to ensure it was broken. Things such as unplug it, clean filters, drain it etc., basically easy stuff I checked 17 times before giving up.My wife emailed back and forth with the representative whom did state that it was covered and they would be sending us a new unit. We had to send them a copy of our Amazon receipt which is totally understandable.Once the new unit shipped we had it within a week. Since that time for the small amount I have used it… it is functioning perfectly. I did plug the old unit back in just to see if the heat function at least worked on it since the AC didn’t but that also did not work.So to wrap up. When the unit is working it does work as expected, it looks nice and is easy to use. The jury is still out for me on the overall quality as I’m on my second unit. The warranty is there but will require some work to get it.I still have the old unit which I will now have to take to a dump or recycle center. I realize things break unexpectedly sometimes and I am glad I didn’t have to shell out another large sum of money on a different brand. We also have a second serine life smaller A/C only unit that has worked for one summer thus far.I am going to have to see how this unit works over the winter of 2022 / Summer of 2023 to fully know if I would buy from them again.I hope this helps somebody on the fence in some way.

Poorly designed and dangerous
Do not buy this unit! After a year or so I started getting crazy sinus issues out of nowhere. Then the unit stopped cooling. I had an ac repair friend stop by to give it a Quick Look. He showed me how the top filters were flimsy and hardly did anything. Then he opened the unit and audibly gasped. The entire unit was covered in mold. Also the bottom section has no way to clean the filter near the floor.Just for a reference my house never gets above 72 degrees and we have dehumidifiers everywhere. He said he couldn’t believe how poorly designed this was and based on how it was designed he was shocked it lasted this long. He also said based on the design he would bet almost all of the units will be prone to housing mold on the inside unless they are fully taken apart regularly cleaned professionally!I spoke with my doctor and he 100% believes this unit has been the culprit of my recent severe sinus issues.Breathing in mold at night when you sleep is a recipe for disaster.Do not buy this unit. It is poorly designed and has a high likelihood of housing mold without you being able to get to it and an even higher chance of breaking down long before you expect it to.I put in a complaint to the manufacturer through Amazon but based on other reviews here it doesn’t sound like they will be much help.Avoid this unit at all cost!
